You condemn the few notorious individuals who get caught or are otherwise in the spotlight while cuddling with the underlying ideology "terrorists" use to justify the real war on women and the worldwide Islamic "holy war" on everyone who has committed the fatal sin of failing to convert to Islam

Christians that you possie up with have a pretty good track record fucking over women and children too. How often do we hear the rightwingasshole mention the excesses of his own possie?

Dear oh dear! It's sad to see so many people confused by a simple question - what is the correct way to describe a particular form of hate. It's a bit like arguing over whether a particular killer is a psychopath or a sociopath when the pressing task is to ensure the public is properly protected from the monster.

Some people, including our sorry excuse for a PM here Abbott try to justify their militarism by claiming the other side is "pure evil", a "death cult" yadda yadda yadda ...... The alarm bells really ought to ring loudly when such absurd rhetoric is trotted out to justify more foreign intervention in the ME, to 'fix' the problem the West itself caused by its own intervention(s). IS are a revolting bunch of thugs, but to assert they are "pure evil" is as silly as to claim the West as "pure goodness".

Hate is hate. The same hatred motivates the jihadi as those who are so vehementally opposed to Islamism that they proudly proclaim their hate by describing themselves as "Islamophobes". The same single minded obsessiveness, the same black and white picture of the world, the same absolutist claims underlying their fanaticisms.

Hate is hate, and always a problem, never a solution.

In summary, because hate is wrong, you hate those who dislike the ideology that teaches its followers to tax, enslave or kill everyone who isn't of their ideology

Indeed. The term 'racism' has come to convey the feeling of ignorance and hatred of the 'other' better than any other - one reason it's used so much - and one reason that so many people will wriggle to escape having it pinned on them. For perhaps the first and only times in their lives, people will quickly learn their only knowledge of genetics in order to 'get off on a technicality'.

Myself, I'd just go with 'xenophobia' - 'the unreasoned fear of that which is perceived to be foreign or strange and be done with it. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Xenophobia

Neither are females allowed to drive in many Islamic states, and the punishment for being caught out without a male relative can be very severe

Looking back through the thread, the ones unreasoned in this debate are the leftists, who are forced to rely almost purely on their desperate ad hominems and other fallacies

Sanity it might be best if you left summarising my ideas to me - obviously you haven't the slightest aptitude for it. I don't buy into hating at all. That is your gig. Those that do all have their hatred in common, whether they be the looney fundamentalists (of any variety) or the people who choose to hate them.

The ideal solution would be to remove the hate from all parties. However the prospect of that happening is remote because those who choose to hate tend to be very attached to their petty hatreds. It makes a handy crutch for the emotionally challenged or those who choose to wallow in their ignorance.

I feel sorry for those who choose to hate irrespective of whether the object of their hatred is an " the ideology that teaches its followers to tax, enslave or kill everyone who isn't of their ideology" or any other hatred. It's never a solution to anything except perhaps the 'problem' of increasing sales and profits for arms manufacturers and traders.

As you didn't get it first time around, let me repeat it in the hope that it might sink in: Hate is always a problem never a solution.

Theres a fine ad hominem for you
actually it covers many latin phrases you really dont understand as well as some english ones
such as strawman, bullshit, ignorant, crap, idiotic, false, and a lie.
carry on tho, your dribbling just might make its way to help the people in california.
Ive got a job to be getting on with.
ciao
chuckles and wanders off singing "the Internationale"

Sanity -> RE: Racism and Islamophobia. (9/2/2014 6:26:28 AM)

Here is the difference Lucy

While I and my fellows discuss the ideology, and keep turning the focus back onto that, you and your fellows have nothing other than to time and again try to turn the debate into a character assassination of whoever dares to criticize the ideology, or to otherwise try to derail the debate

Even with the post you falsely claim is an ad hominem on my part, I am redirecting the debate back onto Islam, despite your efforts to make the debate about me

What a pompous ass you are.

I get your point, Homophobia is bad but Islamophobia is just fine and dandy.

If anyone is a pompous little shit, you indeed fit the bill.

I never mentioned homophobia and I stated very clearly in my post that I thought Islamaphobia was just as bad as racism when I stated they were both fueled by hatred. So why don't you quit lying about people and run along.
