But on Friday, a bus was quarantined on Virginia Avenue, SE, in the Capitol Hill area of Washington, D.C.--in what turned out to be an Ebola false alarm


hence no ebola, hence, no transmission on a bus, hence you are a moron.
AMazing that the only "news" service carrying it is CNS or links to the CNS version

But CDC recommendations state that travelers in West Africa who begin to show possible symptoms, or people who have experienced a high risk of exposure, should avoid public transportation, including buses. And we’ve also seen large amounts of concern regarding potentially infected people traveling on airplanes.

“My first question is, did the CDC vet this video message before it was released and posted on U.S. embassy websites, and is it true that a person runs absolutely no risk of contracting Ebola on public transportation, such as a bus?”

“Yes, CDC vetted the message, and, yes, we believe it’s accurate,” Frieden told CNSNews.com.

By comparison, a search for “enterovirus” — the other infectious disease in the news at the moment — only returned slightly more than 1.2 million. So if you find yourself trapped on a bus with someone screaming about having Ebola, try your best to stay calm. L.A. Metro’s Gonzales said he had just met with health officials, who told him a person diagnosed with Ebola would be physically unable to walk onto a bus.

“Your chances of finding a person on a public bus who has Ebola are virtually zero,” he said.

Health officials have repeatedly stated — and the White House has reminded the public — that the only way to contract Ebola is to come into direct contact with the bodily fluids of someone who has already begun showing symptoms.

Listen.....it's silly....you can't catch it from riding in a bus but....if you were in the bus, the bus needs to be blown up and incinerated.

There's no disconnect here....the govt. is telling you it's perfectly safe to ride a bus (unless there was an Ebola patient in it, then the bus has to be incinerated....which, if you were in it, was.....of course.....perfectly safe).

Where's the confusion here?

Hon....Ebola patients tend to die (I know...it's crazy)....and if (when) they die (which, oddly, they have an unusual tendency to do), they tend to be somewhat dangerous, as to the general populace.

Since they're (probably) going to die....wouldn't it be prudent not to have them around others (i.e., you not being around them), where they may tend to spit up?

(I don't know....maybe I'm crazy).

Lookie schweetie, that was my whole point.... dead ebola victims are infectious....50-70% chance of kickin the bucket. anyone who deals with an ebola corpse should be safe from all contamination.
one thing is while they are infectious, they are past the pesky coughing, sneezing projectile vomiting and bleeding out of every orifice all over people trying to take their temperature.
