Sanity -> RE: Deliberate Obamacare "lack of transparency" (11/14/2014 8:33:43 AM)

Yes, he is a Democrat. He believes in many of the things that Democrats believe, good catch. That was the premise of my post.

His point though, which I am not sure you understood, is that lying to him and to every other citizen by government officials is despicable. Why is Honest debate and above the board legislation seemingly way too much to ask for from our elected officials?

And then there's the cronyism, which you gloss over. Gruber made millions for taxpayers for Gruber pushing lies onto them

There's more, it goes on, but the article speaks well for itself

Musicmystery -> RE: Deliberate Obamacare "lack of transparency" (11/14/2014 9:01:29 AM)

Your post is (yet again, as they all are) is about "GASP! There's a D after his name!" You have no trouble with lies the Rs tell. It's called hypocrisy.

When you get that that both parties are taking the public for a ride -- as others have noted in this form, Republicans openly so, Democrats more obscurely so -- maybe we can all get down to doing something about that and solving problems.

Until then, it's another episode of Sesame Street, brought to you today by the letter R.

mnottertail -> RE: Deliberate Obamacare "lack of transparency" (11/14/2014 9:09:45 AM)

But there is no actual lie here. Lets not throw around words as if they have no meaning as Sanity does. There was obfucatory language. But it said what it said.

Musicmystery -> RE: Deliberate Obamacare "lack of transparency" (11/14/2014 9:11:34 AM)

Noted. Just tired of the silly "did not did so" circle when S enters the conversation.

Claiming that the topic is about me, or is about all lies ever told, is just you acting the part of an Internet troll trying to deflect from the main issue being discussed

Trying to obfuscate, trying to derail

Would honest debate kill you?

mnottertail -> RE: Deliberate Obamacare "lack of transparency" (11/14/2014 11:25:51 AM)

The main issue being discussed is somewhat hallucinatory, and pointing that out is part and parcel of the main issue being discussed.

Not at all. You change the subject, however, when I raise those points.

None of the posts are about you, Ego Boy. Just course corrections.

joether -> RE: Deliberate Obamacare "lack of transparency" (11/16/2014 1:29:51 PM)

How many of you have ACTUALLY read the law? Its been around for nearly four years now. How many of you have read all 2409 pages of it?

Not even one of you. So where is all your information originating from? If its not first-hand knowledge, how many hands back and 'reinterpreted' at each level to the author/speaker giving you the information? How 'transparent' are those authors and speakers, giving you this information? Since its WELL KNOWN, that much of conservative media only 'reports' an extremely limited viewed on this particular law. The material written/spoken by more....liberal...people (i.e. moderates and liberals), displays much more factual information taken directly from the law. Yet, most of you wouldn't know the level of 'facts' given in a particular piece without having first read the law.

Mr. Gruber got it wrong. Americans are not stupid on this law; they are ignorant! That Americans are told what to think, because they are 'too busy' to check the information, only serves to show evidence this notion is correct. That Republicans come out to attack Democrats for not being 'truthful' smacks of hypocrisy. Anyone could have read this bill before it became law. That less than 5% of Americans did so, is a very sad state of affairs in the nation. Yet, what percentage of Americans had access to the information given to then, President George W. Bush about Iraq's WMD capabilities from the intelligence community (who cant say anything to the general public)? Not even a tenth of that 5% on 'The Affordable Care' Act. I would even gamble not even a thousandth of 5% knew of such information. Where were all the Republicans and their conservatives supporters in bashing that administration...AFTER...the information became known? Someone could drop a pin in that room and be blown over by the kinetic shock wave by the silence among all those in said room! So when I hear those that bash the ACA without having first read the document, shows just how ignorant they are. Moments before I SCHOOL 'EM on the facts....

That being 'stupid' and 'ignorant' are seen as virtues among conservatives these days is sad. That the caliber of people they vote into public office shouldn't surprise anyone with an education and a mind to think for themselves....

That talking point is about as worn out as the leftist chants of "racists" toward anyone who disagrees with them are

The key architect of the law has stated publicly that the law was deliberately written in a "tortured" and "opaque" way meant to deliberately conceal the things that the law does

Obamacare's opacity was a deliberate strategy

Sanity -> RE: Deliberate Obamacare "lack of transparency" (11/17/2014 5:23:34 AM)

From Politico:

Gallup: 'New numerical low' for Obamacare

Wont somebody please tell me again how everyone is singing the praises of Obamas signature achievement

Lucylastic -> RE: Deliberate Obamacare "lack of transparency" (11/17/2014 5:29:11 AM)

ooooooooh 828 people surveyed, that says SOOOO much

Musicmystery -> RE: Deliberate Obamacare "lack of transparency" (11/17/2014 5:30:45 AM)

Mainly, because Republican disapproval is 69%, so the guy is still more "popular."

And, of course, because you simply ignored the points here without considering the data:

You are confusing the poll I posted about Obamacare disapproval with Obamas personal disapproval numbers

And the real polls dont show that he is more popular than anything or anybody

The real polls aren't portending great approval for Obamas executive amnesty for all of his undocumented Democrat amigos either

Oregon immigration vote is a warning for Obama

Lucylastic -> RE: Deliberate Obamacare "lack of transparency" (11/17/2014 5:51:32 AM)

The voters have shown that they do not consider the Democrat agenda "positive" and much prefer the "fucking games"
