That's a good point. He actually doesn't give a shit about "transparency" in the first place.

Mainly, because Republican disapproval is 69%, so the guy is still more "popular."

http://www.pollingreport.com/cong_rep.htm

And, of course, because you simply ignored the points here without considering the data:

http://www.collarchat.com/fb.asp?m=4746581

You are confusing the poll I posted about Obamacare disapproval with Obamas personal disapproval numbers

And the real polls dont show that he is more popular than anything or anybody

Only if you're incapable of understanding the world is more complex than the focus of polling a single topic.

Thing is--solutions get criticized. And the ACA is a yes, flawed, but a solution (and largely one the Gingrich Republicans crafted), and it's the first solution we've seen since the 60s. Finally, something got put into place. From there, shot at it, alter it, tweak it, whatever, but it's a solution where there has long been growing need.

Meanwhile, what message/purpose do Republicans have? To be unhappy. That everything sucks, and therefore, it's important to be against everything, and to try to undo what solutions, flawed though they be, are in place now, but without anything to help solve it. Republicans believe in embracing and living with problems for all eternity.

Democrats aren't a lot better, because their approach is to gently hint at solutions and trying to advance small things while worrying that they'll alienate the voters who have been told everything sucks. They really, really, need to find a spine, take a stance, and let some people get pissed off in the process. When they do -- like the ACA -- something gets done, however flawed, instead of nothing.

Not a lot in there for voters to throw a party over, is there.

Reagan talked about Morning in America. Republicans pointed out it's a crappy morning, that all the mornings are crappy, and since they can't fix crappy mornings, we should repeal raincoats, boots, and umbrellas, because sometimes it still rains.

yeah hes gonna be impeached or the government is gonna shut down
even tho they told him before they went away for an "extended" holiday that he should do it without congress.
Like everything else, they dont wanna do anything positive, so they play stupid fucking games
sounds about right for your taste

The voters have shown that they do not consider the Democrat agenda "positive" and much prefer the "fucking games"

I don't remember you saying after the 2012 election that the voters had shown their approval for Obama, ACA, and the Democrats in the Senate.

Your take on election mandates flops with the winning letters.

mnottertail -> RE: Deliberate Obamacare "lack of transparency" (11/17/2014 8:39:35 AM)

and he is only saying this with the worst turnout since WWII to back him when they couldnt vote.

I am as a god to these trollish little people.

All that matters is what I say, think, or feel

Topic? What topic. I am the topic!

Musicmystery -> RE: Deliberate Obamacare "lack of transparency" (11/17/2014 10:18:27 AM)

Only in your own mind, especially when you're busted and trying desperately to skirt the topic.

Which, granted, happens frequently. When you've got nothing, you talk about you, and play the poor wounded puppy.

One lie after another from leftists. The Republicans are responsible for Obamacare... What a fucking load of desperate, insane ranting

Crank up the propaganda machine. This is all about a collarchat member, elections only matter when Democrats win (at which time they are hailed as 'mandates to fundamentally change the nation' etc) otherwise they are meaningless, on and on with the dog shit breathed rhetoric

Heres the real topic

Your elected leaders are STILL lying to you, and doubling down on the premise that you are stupid

Obama: (Paraphrasing here) "Who is this... "Gruber"? Never heard of him."

mnottertail -> RE: Deliberate Obamacare "lack of transparency" (11/17/2014 10:36:37 AM)

As he was for the great nutsucker Captain Magic Underpants, who had him create Romneycare, so the nutsuckers seem to be for the stupidity of the American people before they were against it.

Sanity -> RE: Deliberate Obamacare "lack of transparency" (11/17/2014 10:43:16 AM)

More lies and obfuscation

The Democrats rammed OBAMAcare through without any debate or a single Republican vote

"No one knows whats in it. We have to pass it first, before we can find out whats in it".

Democrat House Leader Nanci Pelosi

And while Romneycare may share a similarity here and there, we are not discussing Romneycare here whatsoever

That propaganda point sailed over the edge a long time ago

Musicmystery -> RE: Deliberate Obamacare "lack of transparency" (11/17/2014 10:51:30 AM)

How quickly they run from Newt Gingrich.

Well...who could blame them.

mnottertail -> RE: Deliberate Obamacare "lack of transparency" (11/17/2014 10:53:06 AM)

Oh, but Captain Nutsucker, we are discussing the lies of the nutsuckers here. They are obfuscating and lying along with everyone else. Its what they do and who they are. The propaganda the nutsuckers are spewing is that democrats are doing something (and particularly Obama) that simply isnt the actual case. The apolitical apparatchik has his way of doing business and is quite right to say what he said. Lets consider some of the nutsucker obfuscations in law. The reason so many are on foodstamps, the fact that St. Wrinklemeat let 11 million illegal aliens in, the fact that this is fundamentally the exact proposal of the nutsuckers in healtcare previously, the fact the nutsuckers are shipping jobs overseas. Ad infinitum.

Lucylastic -> RE: Deliberate Obamacare "lack of transparency" (11/17/2014 11:05:35 AM)

yeah the republicans have NO plan to replace the ACA, they still havent got one . But theyve whinged every two years since 08, how many times have they voted to repeal, how many times have they tried to defund various aspects, not to mention their rallying call was jobs in 2010...they havent devised a single plan yet.
Finger twiddling, lying and shutting down the government and lying is all they have done six years

Sanity -> RE: Deliberate Obamacare "lack of transparency" (11/17/2014 1:58:54 PM)

I love this part

I could post it again and again

mnottertail -> RE: Deliberate Obamacare "lack of transparency" (11/17/2014 2:02:10 PM)

Here is the actual quote:

“The fact that some adviser who never worked on our staff expressed an opinion that I completely disagree with in terms of the voters is no reflection on the actual process that was run,” Obama said.

So, nearly identical to your paraphrase in nutsucker propaganda.

And John Kerry ---- why am I thinking Senator in that timeframe? Advising the congress is not advising the president, there is a certain document that keeps that arms length.

The GOP plan penalized those who didn't get coverage, and rewarded those who did (including employers who helped pay for employees' health care). Not one was there a tax penalty possible, there were tax credits in there, too.

That makes a huge difference, imo.

Sanity -> RE: Deliberate Obamacare "lack of transparency" (11/17/2014 5:46:34 PM)

FR

"Gruber? I don't uh, know... This... Uhh... Gruber."

quote:

Obama said, "You have already drawn some of the brightest minds from academia and policy circles, many of them I have stolen ideas from liberally, people ranging from Robert Gordon to Austan Goolsbee; Jon Gruber; my dear friend, Jim Wallis here, who can inform what are sometimes dry policy debates with a prophetic voice.”

And lying nutsucker that you are, that is not what he said:
http://www.caintv.com/obama-in-2006-video-yeah-i-sto

The guy is an economist and he is an apparatchik in the congress. So, you have to lie heavily to impugn, but Obama never said he didnt know the guy, he said he wasn't a big player in the Executive branch in the getting a healthcare bill thru congress.

Thanks for playing, but your lies are easily exposed.

It's worse than that, even.

"Phone polls" are given in many statistics textbooks as a primary example of "how to sample badly," for a reason. There are about 3-4 biasing situations built in to the process already in that method. Aside from that, Gallup's own explanation of their methodology says that "we take a minimum of 1,000 samples."

So to use their terminology regarding the 828 actual samples in this case, I guess that we could say that they take "at least 1,000 samples, +/- 7.2%, at a 95% confidence level."

Ha ha.
