ORIGINAL: YouName Seriously? Cause I've not heard much about any serious battles in those years. I 'd say it's just about to start. Rich folks today have forgotten that in the past they used to have their homes firebombed and poor folks have forgotten that they used to be a dozen people in a 40sqm flat and that's when they weren't working for 12 hours. Time to remember, before we tear each other to pieces again. Yes, I think you pretty much nailed it right here. There hasn't been much in the way of class warfare in this country mainly because of all of the programs implemented in the past designed to prevent it. I don't think anyone actually "won" the class war, as much as it turned out to be an uneasy stalemate. It might be more of a kind of class "cold war" which is taking place - and perhaps a kind of "phony war" which often takes the form of "keeping up with the Joneses." And just because someone may have an income level which might put them into a certain "class," it doesn't necessarily mean that their loyalties would be with that particular class. There are those in the upper class who would side with the working class, as well as many working class folks who would side with the upper class.
