ORIGINAL: Musicmystery My view is that if you're going to mischaracterize the discussion, it will remain stupid. No one (that I know of) disagrees with any of that. So enough of the silly. My view is the actions of 100 morons doesn't equal the actions of 25,000 peaceful protestors, any more than the actions of a few cops equals the actions of the many excellent members of law enforcement in this country. My view is that reacting by positing marching cops calling for dead protestors isn't any better logic that 100 morons generalizing all cops. My view is that you're unlikely to back off your flatly incorrect view that the majority of protestors, in NY and around the country, were peaceful. With some notable (and criminal) exception, yes. My view is that this moronic cop doesn't get it and deserved his suspension: http://www.cbsnews.com/news/san-jose-cop-phillip-white-suspended-for-twitter-threat-to-protesters/ My view is that these cops get it: http://nymag.com/daily/intelligencer/2014/08/ferguson-protest-thursday.html Actually, my view is that the majority of protests around the country were peaceful. But I'm not going to bury my head in the sand when there are those that are violent or excuse them. But...just like those who start a thread when a cop kills a black man (typically those on the left), I'm going to start a thread when people call for killing cops. Its my view that the cop making threats involving using his badge to hide behind does...indeed...not get it. Its my view that those cops joined in as long as it was a peaceful protest. In all honesty, I don't think its a sign that they "get anything"... it may be a sign that they agreed with the crowd who were protesting Darren Wilsons' actions at the time. But in that case, the officers and the crowd were proven wrong,
