Collarspace does seem to be a lot of fakes. I have had a few from this site to show up but its few and far between. I'm not sure if they are just desperate for attention or chicken out at the last minute. I'm a Domme that has stopped doing voice or video simply because there are so many fakes. I'm not sure what to tell you except hang in there. Every once in awhile you will come across someone who is real and wants this lifestyle. Good luck.

There is no easy way to tell if someone is a fake or not. In this lifestyle, as in real-life, it takes time to get to know a person. People who genuinely take the time to read emails and reply back answering questions and show a true interest tend to be real. People should be honest and address their fears to reduce the "chicken out" factor - don't say you are ready to commit and/or meet until you are ready. Honesty and trust are probably the two biggest factors in this lifestyle. That is why the fakes and frauds and scammers hurt this lifestyle so much.

They don't hurt the lifestyle at all because they are criminals. People with an Internet connection should realize that there are those that do not have your best interest at heart and will prey on the weak and desperate and lonely. The ones that usually get caught up in them are the ones with more money than sense. Sad but true. Has no effect on the lifestyle, scammers are everywhere, BDSM sites, dating sites, you name it, they are there.
