I'm a relatively new sub and am trying to understand the concept of being collared. It is appealing but also something that I'm not thinking I want. What is the difference between being in a LTR relationship with a DOM and being collared? To me it seems one in the same.

Status: offline 		It depends on the weight of the "collaring". Some D/s couples really see it as a life commitment, as opposed to a LTR. It really is like being married.

It is one thing to place a collar or chain on a subs neck and quite another to formally "collar" them. It is treated much like a wedding ceremony in some circles.

I suppose that you would need a good circle of BDSM friends to do that and not freak out the relatives!

I'm currently with a DOM who says we are moving into a LTR, but lately has been treating me differently and I asked why and he says he doesn't think he is. Being brand new, it is confusing for me and wonder if this behavior is part of training and I don't realize it and just trust what he told me.

I want to add that if this is a big issue for you it needs to be addressed.  You have wants as well and it's not all about the Dom.  I personally think that oral should be an equal opportunity thing, even in a D/s relationship, although it isn't always so.  But that certainly is the most fun scenario (for me, anyway!).

Status: offline 		That's a question i've always had.  i love it but rarely get it and i've never been sure why not.  i haven't asked because somehow that's seemed wrong to do so...my block.  i'm sure He'd welcome the question.  i've wondered if it's because it seems like a submissive act to Him, or if He just doesn't enjoy it, or if He sees it as a rare reward.  i've just assumed He doesn't really care for the act, but reading this forum topic, i wonder if there is another reason.  maybe it's time for me to ask about it rather than giving the occasional subtle hints.  lol

Not a clue... since I am not adverse to doing that from time to time....  of course... I tend to use my teeth as much as my tongue... so my girls do have mixed emotions with me going down on them.  lol

You will get many different replies, as performing cunnilingus is a very personal choice. Personally, I'll do anything sexual to my property if I feel like it, because it pleases me to. She knows that - so there is nothing I do that makes me less Dominant in her eyes.
