Desderi, do you think he is pretending to not understand, or that he is actually stupid? I vote pretending to be dumb, in a troll play.

Musicmystery -> RE: Why is the Right afraid of Sharia Law? (1/19/2015 8:45:35 PM)

And yet, you still can't support your argument.

What a clever lad.

luckyd0g -> RE: Why is the Right afraid of Sharia Law? (1/19/2015 9:16:47 PM)

Where did I make an argument in this thread?

MM, maybe I was incorrect, and you are not playing dumb...

Musicmystery -> RE: Why is the Right afraid of Sharia Law? (1/19/2015 9:19:08 PM)

Have fun, sock.

Moderator3 -> RE: Why is the Right afraid of Sharia Law? (1/19/2015 9:22:26 PM)

Due to the fact that we have had issues with laundry in the Dungeon and how I have pretty much promised that laundry would be done around here, I have to say, there isn't any laundry on this thread. [;)]

So a new poster comes on...doesn't agree with the left...it MUST be a sock, right?

Except when it isn't.

Ah yes, you've hit on one of those dilemmas.

You're not exactly correct in claiming that Sharia Law is in the bible, there's plenty in Sharia Law that is not in Leviticus. But yeah, if you're making a point to Christians that they shouldn't knock Sharia because Leviticus contains similarly nasty "laws" then I'm afraid you're going to be locked in a very complicated Theological knot.

For centuries Theologians and Church leaders have "managed" the interpretation of the Good book in order to keep the various rules and regs in line with current social mores. Sure, there are a few fundamentalist Christians that would go back to the letter of Leviticus, but most Christians have been able to get their heads around the fact that it's not really fair to stone a rape victim simply because her cries for help could not be heard.

The challenge with Sharia law is that there has been no effective modernization, so it remains a medieval legal code, many parts of which have no place whatsoever in modern life.

cloudboy -> RE: Why is the Right afraid of Sharia Law? (1/20/2015 6:38:59 AM)

The main point I get out of this Sharia thing -- comes from the locked thread that was never opened back up again, that Sharia and other militant doctrines don't come directly from the Koran -- rather these doctrines are superimposed over it by motivated nationalists (the Taliban for instance) who have their own agendas and use "religion" to further their cause.

Someone joins a kink site, and immediately dives into the political debate section.

Whatever makes you cum, I suppose.

Hi Cloudboy, is there any chance you know the name of that thread? I don't have anything in my tray and can't seem to find one that might fit as a title, that was locked. I'd like to see what this is about. Thank you

Lucylastic -> RE: Why is the Right afraid of Sharia Law? (1/20/2015 6:59:45 AM)

could it possibly be Islam’s Problem With Blasphemy????

mnottertail -> RE: Why is the Right afraid of Sharia Law? (1/20/2015 7:03:19 AM)

The right loves Sharia Law.

Well, with this thread up and running, the other may as well be put to bed.

Title was: Islam's problem with Blasphemy.

cloudboy -> RE: Why is the Right afraid of Sharia Law? (1/20/2015 12:19:37 PM)

Well nothing directly in the Koran supports what the Muslim Militants did in France. Yet, the perpetrators still believed they where in snyc with the Koran.

Upset that Mod 3 disagreed with your conclusion?

Musicmystery -> RE: Why is the Right afraid of Sharia Law? (1/20/2015 1:01:52 PM)

I appreciate the information.

Makes his actions, which the above typical sock charicature ridicules, even more ridiculous for being actually intentional. And making explicitly clear he hasn't posted any actual content with "Where did I make an argument in this thread?" Just trolling.

How about you? Done trolling? Or have you other personal barbs to share?

Anything for an argument, right? Knee jerk at work.

luckyd0g -> RE: Why is the Right afraid of Sharia Law? (1/20/2015 2:05:49 PM)

Commenting on an existing argument is not making one. But I suppose that is too difficult for you to grasp.

And your wrong in the facts. I joined the site with a new version of my name, contacted some local submissives (in real life, not dudes pretending in the gorean rooms), then came in here to debate some politics.
And you tried to get me kicked out, and failed.

Musicmystery -> RE: Why is the Right afraid of Sharia Law? (1/20/2015 2:09:49 PM)

Yes, I saw that constructing a counter-argument wasn't something to expect from you, just snark and snipping.

Duly noted.
