I appreciate the information.

Makes his actions, which the above typical sock charicature ridicules, even more ridiculous for being actually intentional. And making explicitly clear he hasn't posted any actual content with "Where did I make an argument in this thread?" Just trolling.

How about you? Done trolling? Or have you other personal barbs to share?

Anything for an argument, right? Knee jerk at work

Yes...you and yours do a fine job of it.

I and others...already gave answers in this thread but when they don't suit you, you love to brush them off as an accusation of you wanting nothing but more gun laws or that someone's trolling rather tahan address what's said.

The Quran is a lie, according to the Book of Revelations.

Since the Qur'an was written in the 7th century, and the Book of Revelations in the 1st century, that's some pretty fancy fortune telling. Or is it time travel?

So sayeth the clueless...

How can someone say that a book is a lie 6 centuries before anyone writes it?

You call others clueless?

If you believe Revelations, do you also believe Leviticus? (especially the part about stoning people and cutting off bodily parts)

Desderi, do you think he is pretending to not understand, or that he is actually stupid? I vote pretending to be dumb, in a troll play.

He's not stupid. He's just very partisan.

Due to the fact that we have had issues with laundry in the Dungeon and how I have pretty much promised that laundry would be done around here, I have to say, there isn't any laundry on this thread.

Thanks for demonstrating your cluelessness... again (even after it's been pointed out how). We get it. You don't have to keep showing us.

You might want to talk to someone of the Jewish faith about Leviticus and how much it should be applied. Christians don't really follow that stuff, keeping to the New Testament and all.

On that, we completely agree.

I'm not sure why you felt you had to post it. Did you think I was ascribing stupidity to one party?

Bullshit. First, there's no team at work here, and second, what answers? This thread has been snark from you soup to nuts. Sorry, no award for that.

From there, people write what they write. If they don't mean that, then that's probably not what they should write.

FFS.

this is either an incredibly naïve, or an amazingly ignorant post.

there is a huge difference between a theocracy where the state and the religion are completely intermingled, and the ability to freely express Christianity in the public square.

I've read through various renditions of the Christian Bible over the course of my life, and they all include the Old Testament, including the Book of Leviticus. Are you seriously suggesting that Christianity rejects the Old Testament completely? Seriously?

First, my post said nothing at all about Christianity. But, since you went there...

If freely expressing Christianity means spouting hate language towards women, gay people and atheists which all too frequently incites violence, I'm okay with them whispering in a sound-proof room - and not a room that gets tax cuts, either!

I've lived in a theocracy and it really isn't so very different from America. Laws are for the poor and for the middle - everywhere! While religious debates abound, the money counters are ruling the world.

Yes, I saw that constructing a counter-argument wasn't something to expect from you, just snark and snipping.

Duly noted.

why would I form a counter argument against something I agree with...
I explained why I agreed, and how you are purposely playing dumb.

and for you to whine about sniping and snark is fucking hilarious.

Well nothing directly in the Koran supports what the Muslim Militants did in France. Yet, the perpetrators still believed they where in snyc with the Koran.

What the fuck is the matter with you? Do we need to repeat the quotes already posted? Yes, there are "pretty" ones too. But large parts of the Muslim world observe the doctrine of Abrogation, also supported in the Koran, by which the later militant verses are interpreted as overriding the earlier "pretty" ones. You wouldn't want to live among them.

You wouldn't want to live among Talmudic Jews, either. For starters, Christians wouldn't be allowed to celebrate Christmas or Easter -- A gentile...is liable for the death penalty...if he has invented a religious holiday for himself...The general principle is we do not allow them to make new religious rituals and to make 'mitzvahs' for themselves by their own devices (Rambam Mishne Torah, Hilchos Melachim 10:9) -- and you'd have "modesty patrols" spitting on 8-year olds who don't conform to their notion of proper attire for females.

The difference is, the vast majority of Jews won't stand for that shit.

K.

I see you're not quite grasping the counter-argument concept.

But then, you're not really interested in doing so either.

How do the Talmudic Jews feel about soccer? Granted, the article has not confirmed the claim, but that's harsh, and I'm not a fan of soccer.

Not rejects, but supersedes. It is impossible to observe the Levitical laws and the commandments of Christ. There are more than dozen places in the synoptic gospels where Christ declares, but I say (something different).
