Mark Steyn and Chuck Norris seem to be misinformed, lying propagandist rather stupid [Mod removed a prohibited word the filter missed.], don't they?

Thanks for pointing that out in the face of realities.

Bounty, why do you persist with this bollocks ?

"From mark steyn:
“Likewise, there are no-go zones in parts of Birmingham in the Midlands, where in nothing flat, a city that was 0% Muslim 50 years ago now is 22% Muslim. They're the demographic energy in the city. A senior British police officer was talking about this. He was saying, he wasn't calling them 'no-go zones'. He was putting it in a sort of positive way, that these communities 'prefer to police themselves', as it were. 'And that's why we just leave them to get on with it'. And one consequence of that is that nobody who isn't a member of those 'communities' likes to go there... Those no-go zones are not as advanced as they are in France, but they are real and they are growing in British cities.”

If Steyn had a brain he would be fucking dangerous. For instance, half the Muslims in Birmingham are British born. Do you suggest we shouldnt allow them to worship, or indeed not worship, the faith they choose. Do you suggest we should only allow free speech to angry white folk ?

Just a tip, but if all you do is read racist bullshit, it may well trun you into a racist.

As for no go areas...... FFS how many more times. http://www.snopes.com/politics/religion/nogozones.asp

im not suggesting anything of the sort. im merely providing evidence of that semi autonomous zones exist in places throughout Europe, and that Birmingham appears to have one.

I further went on (maybe not here, but somewhere) reporting on how the muslims themselves have a declared strategy to set up "separate" entities within the state that hosts them.

you may want to live in Saudi Arabia west, I don't.

if your answer to everything that includes criticism of people who just happen to have a different skin color is to call it "racist" then there really isn't anything to talk about. you cannot see past that.

as for your snopes link, ive provided more than enough evidence to the contrary to refute it.

http://www.billionbibles.org/sharia/uk-sharia-law.html

Sharia Law UK

Sharia law in UK is now in Spread of Islam Phase 4. Muslim imams in the UK now outnumber the UK's Christian pastors, and converting empty church buildings into mosques has become a cottage industry.

In 2008, UK's government formally recognized the first Sharia Law court and the Archbishop of Canterbury - the head of Church of England - stated that adopting elements of the Sharia law into the UK's court system was "unavoidable."

Since then, about 100 Sharia law courts have been established across the UK. Although they technically lie within the UK's Tribunal Court system, these Sharia courts have been issuing rulings that contradict Britain's common law, as well as European Union laws.

In 2011, Britain's Muslims began demanding that Sharia replace British common law and become the only law in towns with large Muslim populations, including Birmingham, Bradford, Derby, Dewsbury, Leeds, Leicester, Liverpool, Luton, Manchester, Sheffield, Waltham Forest and Tower Hamlets, an East London Muslim enclave whose streets are already plastered with posters declaring, "You are entering a Sharia controlled zone: Islamic rules enforced" (below) and where Muslim imams now issue death threats to women who refuse to wear the Muslim veil.

One-third of Britain's high security prison inmates are Muslims.

[I'm so sorry, but I had to delete part of this story. I have spoken with the OP, so we are in agreement or at least they are aware! lol]

http://christiannews.net/2012/11/17/islamic-sharia-law-on-the-rise-in-great-britain-as-uk-seeks-to-shut-down-muslim-courts/

Islamic Sharia Law on the Rise in Great Britain as UK Seeks to Shut Down Muslim Courts
Islamic Sharia law is on the rise in Great Britain as members of the UK parliament are seeking to ban self-established Muslim courts in the nation.

There are approximately 85 Sharia tribunals throughout Great Britain, all of which are run by Islamic judges who rule according to the Koran. There are no appeals following judgment and sentencing.

Sharia courts have been in existence in the country for some time, but in 1996, the passage of the Arbitration Act was seen by Muslims as being a doorway to enforcing Sharia law within British law. Now, some of the cities that have the greatest Muslim concentration, such as London, Birmingham, Manchester and Bradford, also possess an Islamic court. The Tower Hamlets area is especially stated to be the seat of Sharia rule.

“If people are afraid of having their hands cut, don’t steal,” UK Islamic leader Anjem Choduary told reporters. “If you don’t want to be stoned to death, don’t commit adultery.”

Others state that homosexuals have been publicly beaten in the streets for violating Sharia law, and women have been threatened for not covering themselves with a Burqa.

Some tribunals are not courts at all. It is stated that rulings are sometimes issued at area mosques, especially as they relate to domestic issues, such as family disputes.

As a result of the prevalence of these courts, the Arbitration and Mediation Services Bill is now pending in the UK parliament, which seeks to put an end to Sharia tribunals, especially in England and Wales. Continuing to operate as a legitimate court could result in criminal penalties.

[I didn't know there were two. [:(] I hate editing posts. Op is aware of why and I am sorry!]

Sharia Law UK.... <snip>

And, of course, you already know that Sharia courts are illegal in the UK??
We even have help lines for Muslims that have fallen foul of these illegal Sharia courts.

If the Muslims want Sharia law, they won't find it legal in the UK.

As per your link -
"Since then, about 100 Sharia law courts have been established across the UK. Although they technically lie within the UK's Tribunal Court system, these Sharia courts have been issuing rulings that contradict Britain's common law"
Which is why they have been declared illegal.
None of them lie "within the UK's Tribunal Court system" because none of them are deemed legal.
They only apply to specific things within Sharia law for the Muslims and ONLY if they also fall within British law.
Many 'underground' Muslim courts have been shut down and disbanded by our legal system.

But of course, you like to think we are overrun by Sharia law because it says so in some propagandist website. [8|]

Strewth. Is there no end to this inane propaganda? The first - the very first website that came up on Google for me with the search term 'Sharia Law' was a Ch 4 site Q and A on the subject in which it's spelt out that “The Ministry of Justice’s position is that sharia ‘law’ has no jurisdiction in England and Wales and the Government has no intention to change this position”.

Try reading some proper news sites,

http://www.theguardian.com/world/2014/may/12/muslim-scare-stories-media-halal-sharia-niqab

As for there being no go areas in Birmingham it is absolute rubbish. The city is a very mixed cultural society which includes Christians (there is a huge cathedral in the City centre), Muslims, Budhists, Seikhs and every other sort of religion or nationality you can think of. One of the areas mentioned as a "no go" area is Sparkhill which is actually part of the Balti Triangle, a place where the very best curry houses are found and somewhere I always go to when I am back in Birmingham.

I always visit Handsworth, another so called no go area, for Indian sweets.

It is a shame that many of the sites quoted on here have obviously no first hand experience of what is s great culturally diverse city.

Anybody checked out the UKIP fans who think that Murdoch got rid of Page 3 because of pressure from Muslims? "If we end today and nobody's made a link between Page 3 and Sharia Law overtaking UK, I'll feel let down by the internet", seethes one intellectual colossus and heroic Guardian of All That's British by the name of Jon Mills

Maybe we should have an ongoing thread for people to post their choicest pieces of hilarious looney Islamophobia. Fun!

http://www.jihadwatch.org/2015/01/pamela-geller-inside-frances-sharia-no-go-zones

muslims-prayers-FranceThe mainstream media has decided that there are no Sharia no-go zones in France, and that only racist, bigoted Islamophobes think otherwise. The people of France, unfortunately, know better.

“Inside France’s Sharia No-Go Zones,” by Pamela Geller, Breitbart, January 22, 2015:

“There is a tremendous controversy these days about the no-go zones in France. Fox News has apologized for covering them. Fox Report host Julie Banderas said: “To be clear, there is no formal designation of these zones in either country and no credible information to support the assertion there are specific areas in these countries that exclude individuals based solely on their religion.” Yet while it may be true that there aren’t specific areas of France where non-Muslims are prevented from entering, there are many that, if they do enter, they must conform to Islamic norms.

This has been reported for years. The New York Times reported in April 2002, “Arab gangs regularly vandalize synagogues here, the North African suburbs have become no-go zones at night, and the French continue to shrug their shoulders.” And Newsweek said in November 2005: “According to research conducted by the government’s domestic intelligence network, the Renseignements Generaux, French police would not venture without major reinforcements into some 150 ‘no-go zones’ around the country–and that was before the recent wave of riots began on Oct. 27.

Just two weeks ago, the New Republic wrote: “The word banlieue (‘suburb’) now connotes a no-go zone of high-rise slums, drug-fueled crime, failing schools and poor, largely Muslim immigrants and their angry offspring.”

Right out of Breitbart. The toilet has flushed and that turd has left the station.

Prima Facie Nazi propaganda and no truth. Pamela Geller is not allowed in the UK, so right there, its hatemongering and demonstrable lack of actual facts.

bounty44 -> RE: Fox News -- Textbook Case of Baseless Right Wing Hysteria (1/26/2015 3:04:09 PM)

from the ny times no less 12 years ago

"The political class does not seem to grasp that Le Pen's success is a wake-up call, a sign that the country is failing to deal with its burgeoning problems of race and violence. It is as if the French imagine that race is a worry for other nations (the United States, in particular) but not for them. Yet Arab gangs regularly vandalize synagogues here, the North African suburbs have become no-go zones at night, and the French continue to shrug their shoulders.

"France increasingly has the edgy, polarized feeling of American cities in the '60s and '70s. Look into the eyes of Arab immigrants and you will often see a smoldering rage. Riding the Paris Métro, you feel the tension as prosperous French people edge away from noisy gangs of teenagers. Talking to French friends, you hear tales of ethnic attacks in public schools. And yet the country officially pretends that it doesn't have a race problem."

mnottertail -> RE: Fox News -- Textbook Case of Baseless Right Wing Hysteria (1/26/2015 3:08:36 PM)

Well that was W.

It has nothing to do with the propaganda and outright lies being spewed about no-go zones.

Hey, I bet you....especially you, won't go into the Combat Zone in Boston, Hells Kitchen in New York, Brooklyn, the Bronx, parts of Queens, anywhere in LA.......and so on.

Coming up with a little bit of truth does not make the rest of the asswipe more than lies.
