ORIGINAL: enigmabrat OK there are some interesting nicks around here, we have had threads on the best names and the worst now how about explaining what your name means and why you chose it!! Hey enigmabrat and all.... I get to call myself Doctor, .... cause I wasted many years in universities. I choose to call myself Dubious ....because I like the word, it amuses me. Alliteration, ambiguity, playfulness, humor, teasing, word-play, thinking, writing, and talking all entertain me. Teasing gives me small pleaures. Teasing of a more physical nature gives me greater pleasures DD PS, if you are a submissive woman, read that line again, just above where I initialed this email as DD. If the thought of giving me greater pleasures gives you that special tingle, I want you to write me an email now. Go ahead dear... it's a simple thing.... and I told you to do it. There are satisfactions in obeying me, as you well know. And greater satisfactions in loving to obey me, as you also know. PPSS, if you are philosophically inclined ... (poor dear, you really should have that condition treated) you might notice the self-reflexive nature of dubious. The word dubious is... in and of itself... a dubious word. PPPSSSS, here's a list of related words from a thesaurus. ambiguous, debatable, disinclined, doubtful, equivocal, indefinite, indeterminate, mistrustful, obscure, open, problematic, problematical, skeptical, unclear, undecided, unsettled cryptic, enigmatic, puzzling, questionable, tenebrous, arguable, chancy, debatable, diffident, disputable, dubitable, equivocal, farfetched, fishy*, fly-by-night*, hesitant, iffy*, improbable, moot, mootable, open, perplexed, problematic, questionable, reluctant, skeptical, suspect, suspicious, , unclear, unconvinced, undecided, unlikely, fly-by-night*, ..... I used to think I could do some good in the world for women in the weight loss business. Turns out that it's closer to ludicrous than dubious. We had 3 centers in 3 big cities, and tens of thousands of clients before I figured out that losing weight, which they mostly did... was totally beside the point for most women. Slow learner ain't associated with dubious in this thesaurus, but it should be. fly-by-night*, ......... now I'm in Los Angeles quixotically trying to make this fucked up health insurance system work better for both employers and employees. If that isn't a dubious enterprise, I don't know what is. Sounds altruistic, doesn't it? Altruistic isn't cited as close to dubious either, but it should be, eh? Also, I want to make a shit-load of money. But that ain't dubious at all. fly-by-night*, ......... in 2008, if some miracle happens and we ARE able to get some traction on making health insurance work better, I have a brilliant young partner who's plotted with me about going to San Francisco and taking things to a whole new level. We are too frickin busy for the next years to do anything at all about it, but we both love San Francisco. Beautiful city. Inspirational creative energy about the place. And I've been told there's lots of perverts and deviants there. Sounds like home. But we can't even think of what or how to do it for 2 years... so it's a mere dubious-dream. declared, described, ostensible, pretended, professed, purported, so-called, stated, supposed, suspect, suspicious arguable, argumentative, contended, contentious, contestable, controvertible, debatable, disputable, disputatious, disputed, doubtable, doubtful, dubitable, in dispute, litigious, moot, polemical***, questionable, suspect, uncertain Alleged. Alleged. and in a final bit of irony.... polemical, Have you read my wheezy forum posts? Jeeezuz PPPSSS, you have stalled enough darlin' ... write me that email NOW!
