This has been a very interesting drive down solipsism ln, I would've exited early, but it was such a train wreck I had to just stay on the clover leaf and keep circling, the depths of the solipsistic wasn't readily apparent... well, in all the admitted solipsists at least... until the toilet seat debate, then I could see clearly just how long and dreary that highway truly was.
For me, up, down, all up, all down, doesn't really matter. I personally prefer all down, but there was a time when I graduated from a wheelchair to crutches and lacked the ability to lift the toilet seat up. Now, tipping it down with a crutch was no big deal, gravity is your friend, but becomes your enemy when you cannot bend down to grab the lid and have to rely on a crutch to work such a simple, yet cunningly difficult, device.
What I found, through all those years on crutches, was those that insisted that the "Man" put the lid down, did not give one fuck how difficult it was on you, regardless of how obvious the impairment is/was, even and especially when they came into my home. When I see someone blathering on and on about the horrors of leaving it up, that is a solipsists I'm just going to avoid because their self centered nature is going to override my civility at some point and it's going to get UGLY.
Now, I know so many people are going to read this and go, WTF?!?!? but at some point, most of you've been out with this person that has treated the waiter/waitress like shit just because they can, because that is what solipsism is all about, and oddly enough, a toilet seat debate reveals a lot about a person.
Now, Nookie, I am going to guess that all seats down is your preference, and I am going to assume I know you well enough to know that when it came to accommodating someone, nothing (especially a toilet seat), would really get in the way of you considering their needs.
