Here we go round in circle....truth is I can't carry a tune,so it's probably for the best that I forgot the rest of the words [;)]

Anyway,they had that wonderful prayer vigil for the shot to death young Muslims the other night.By all reports that went as well as these things go.

The vigil was reported in the media here sympathetically and prominently. It was lovely to see Americans gathering to express their rejection of bigotry, just as Europeans and Australians gathered to reject hate and extremism in the wake of various recent tragedies.

It is important for moderates to make statements of this nature and not to leave the field open to bigots to appropriate the reaction to incidents and outrages. Important to remind ourselves and the rest of the world that the bigots and haters are minorities in all communities and there are people of good will everywhere who reject violence and hate- and/or ideologically-driven agendas monopolising the airwaves and media, claiming to speak on our behalf.

I don't think there has been, and I never expected, any reaction other than condemnation of this murder. To me and many others the fact that the victims were Muslim was not relevant, unless that is the reason they were killed. Then only as a motive. Senseless killing is senseless killing regardless of the victim, the killer, or the motive.

A senseless murder by Muslims does not justify a senseless murder of Muslims.
Denmark seems to have been political terror. This was a bully who's victims (apparently) just happened to be Muslims.
Denmark should have been discussed in a separate thread, and if I remember correctly it went nowhere in this one.

I get the feeling he is sick of the topic which might explain why most of his posts on this thread seem to more of an attempt to derail and get it shut down than to actually hold a mature conversation. That said....

This was a terrible tragedy that shows how hateful and angry some people are getting and it makes me wonder where all that anger is coming from. But I have noticed that rather than try to understand why it's happening and how to stop it, people are fixating on the weapon. They seem to think if he hadn't had a gun, he couldn't have killed them. And they could be right or he might have picked up a bat and beat them to death instead. The only difference I can see is if he used a bat, he never would have made the CS forums.

Mike made a comment on the outlier coming in trying to change the topic, it got no interest, Mike was the only one to mention it, well until this page.
It was a tit for tat post. As so many are.
Is this guy a terrorist? or a lone wolf filled with anger and guns? mentally disturbed most certainly but yes he more than deserves the term terrorist for his actions

The guy who shot two people in copenhagen was a "terrorist" straight away, no question of wether he was in a disturbance with neighbours, or lovers, or family, or mentally ill .... nope hes muslim, no more questions needed.
I believe that the only good terrorist is a dead terrorist, christian, jewish, catholic, muslim, or atheist. they are better off dead. Including this chapel hill killer pig.

You dont know what terrorists are then. 'Terrorists' arent motivated by parking disputes. The terror attacks in Denmark (for example) were meant to literally terrorize the community at large to keep them from exercising their free speech rights

In some Muslim communities Islamic leaders have been known to terrorize those who disobey Islamic law by severing fingers, toes, hands and / or feet of transgressors, or through severe deadly canings etc. Islamists use such terror tactics to keep people in line - in some places to force women to keep fully covered, or even to keep them indoors unless they have a male escort for a couple of examples

9/11 was a terror attack

What you are trying to call terror was just a parking dispute, and such disputes involving an insane person can and do occur in every culture. For you to claim that this specifically brings shame on America is ridiculous for that reason

Batting average will stay the same than THB.....always wrong gets to be tiresome,no?
I'm more than happy to stay on point,to wit: One of the too many guns in America needlessly laid to rest three young people for the apparent reason that they happened to piss off one of our many walking ,talking ticking time bombs.Otherwise known as "responsible,law abiding gun owners "
