Its not politically charged, because anyone with half a brain could tell this image is an all true statement about the two major political parties on the topic of immigration. What? Should we not teach students true information rather that political ideology? Saying that conservative/Republican viewpoint of helping the poor and its a good use of the taxpayer money, would be a falsehood. Its the stuff FOX 'new's would try to pass off as true. So much for your proclaimed "non-partisanship". The fact that you can't see the problem here completely blows up that lie. It is NOT the schools job to teach political ideology as seen from the LIBERAL viewpoint anymore than it is to teach political ideology from the conservative viewpoint.

I liked this. My youngest nephew is a genius. He is also a digital learner yet he is forced to learn in traditional ways that do not at all nurture the way his mind CRAVES. He is more social than he was when he was younger but he could have easily been labelled as autistic because he can tolerate his brothers but is hard pressed about other children. He would rather engage adults and family members. The 21st Century Learner

I was taught US History incorrectly. I was told the Carter recession was Carter's fault by my history teacher. It wasn't until I took an interest in economics I realized it was due to NIXON's withdrawal from the Bretton Woods and that our investors panicked since our dollar was no longer backed by gold.

More educational lessons: In Virginia, Liberty Middle School teacher Michael Denman forced his students to identify weaknesses in each of the Republican presidential contenders. They were then asked to develop a strategy to expose these flaws and research where they'd send their plans to reach President Barack Obama's campaign. Much to the shock and dismay of conservatives, the students weren't asked to vet Obama in like manner. http://m.ibtimes.com/public-schools-indoctrinating-students-one-liberal-lesson-plan-time-213448 Northeast Middle School in Bristol, Connecticut was, until just recently, teaching social studies students that "The courts have consistently determined that the 2nd Amendment does not ensure each individual the right to bear arms. The worksheet is published by "Instructional Fair" and it also says that "...the rights of this amendment are not extended to the individual citizens of the states. So a person has no right to complain about a Second Amendment violation by state laws.”...... And it goes further. FR Please keep in mind that a thread should have more substance than attack or festiveness. With each member that staff notices a posting style that goes to extreme in Feisty, we will look at the posts made in a couple of threads and then decide if the member needs a reminder, warning or moderation. I have spoken enough, posted too much and if members aren't getting it yet, they may need more to assist them in understanding and complying with section guidelines and purpose. Thank you

Yeah, I know.....Governors got together (and it has a Republican Chair and whatnot, Scott Walker on it)..... Nothing here was done by the federal government, btw............. That common core needs more work than our highways and bridges.

Not just wrong but ridiculous. Let me first say that I am more in line with the Republican point of view on immigration. That said, I see nothing wrong or misleading in the first picture. Obama is trying to build a pathway to make it easier for illegal immigrants to become citizens. Is he, or is he not? That is exactly what is depicted in the picture. The Republican stance on immigration is for the illegal immigrants to not have that ease of becoming citizens. Is that, or is that not correct? To me, that is exactly what is depicted in the picture. 100% accurate. As far as the second picture. . .I seem to remember a Mitt Romney speech concerning the 47%. Directly in line with the corrected answer in the second picture. Again, it seems accurate to me. Instead of simply saying, "Not just wrong but ridiculous," how about giving the reasons you feel it's wrong and/or ridiculous?
