I find it interesting that there is always this underlying need to make subs feel loved, protected and safe within the lifestyle. That is well and good but I often wonder from what position people are approaching very individual situations. I saw this test on many profiles including a lesbian Dominant who never shows her face and practices kinbaku named "MistressMaru". I am pretty direct and I don't try to project myself as anything other than what I am and I'm pretty happy at the in depth questions and results which I thought would pretty much self describe. My reasoning is sometimes we are quick to think we can guide others to what they want when at the end of the day everyone is very individual and we should approach it as such. Answering questions (even seemingly dumb ones) is fine but I don't believe anyone can give insight to what's within your soul merely because they are well known in the community. They can definitely offer guidance but don't expect all the answers to come flying at you. It takes a profound amount of self examining to reach that level of comfort to proceed decisively. If you have never been collared, perhaps it's because you have never been there. I had an incident when I had to correct a poster on the forums who assumed to know about me and my life and nothing could be further from the truth in their assertions. There is a sense of laying cards on the table here. I believe this test is a pretty succinct representation though I thought I'd score higher for voyeur. Might be the introvert thing in play there.

I wouldn't say I misbehave exactly. Hmm. More like I try and push the limits. Of course my Owner would outright say that yuppers I go beyond pushing the limits but I also think he'd say he enjoys when I do it. I am not a brat! she declares while stomping her foot [:)] The primal 67% genuinely surprises me, I really don't like it at all when my fight/flight instincts go into action. Like seriously hugely do not like it.

Although I'm surprised some things are as high up there as they are...I would expect slave to be lower, but I guess since I lean on the /s side of things- its above the others. ETA- I'm also surprised primal predator is up there. But I suppose I kinda bait my guy into chasing me around and maybe that is playing a factor here.

I took the test a couple of weeks ago and thought I posted it to my journal here on CS, but I just realized that I just posted the narrative parts and not the stats. Damn, now I'm going to have to take it again!

I think it's a fun starting point, but it has about the same level of accuracy as fortune telling via chicken entrails. Don't rely on a test to tell you who or what you are, find out for yourself through experience and self-awareness :-)

This test gives more awareness in my mind than most of the advice we give on these forums. I did 8 pages of questions and it was pretty close to what I expected. I only did it because a Mistress I regard highly did and natural curiosity, by page 6 I was ready for it to be over. [:D] I think this test is pretty scientific. It asks all the right questions and human error is minimized.

[&:] The weird thing for me too is I scored as a 25% slave and as a bondage receiver, not scoring as a masochist and submissive makes sense but I am obsessed with rope. I have toyed with the idea of the rope being turned on me only in passing. I never thought I would meet someone I could trust enough to do it. I'm surprised I didn't score anything as a brat but SWDesertDom did. Thanks guys for giving the test a shot. I think the most important lifestyle lessons we can learn is somewhat from within. I'm also surprised I scored 40% as prey. But it makes sense. I am attracted to some men predominantly after all. These hilarious ladies I met in the gym today suggested I try eharmony and lately thinking of a "FWB" situation. We'll see if either happens in serious pursuit. But I definitely answered the questions in how I view the lifestyle rather than myself. And the test still saw parts of myself that I didn't think were indicative in the answers I gave. Apparently it changes in time and the current results are based on over 75k participants. ETA, also SWDesertDom I think our lack of surprise is due to experience but it is a cool starter for newbies in my mind.

I think this is pretty accurate for me especially since I took it a few years ago and I can see how my results have changed....and they have changed in the same way I think I have changed personally. Didn't think you'd score so high on primal, both as predator and prey. Also this is their definition of Dominant. Dominants like to be in charge. Some like to have their partner obey them without questioning, others like some resistance while taking it their way. Some are dominant only in the bedroom, others are dominant throughout their daily life as well (usually with limitations). Unlike the top roles (giving paina/bondage/degradation), being dominant is more about who decides what happens (and takes the responsibility that comes with it) than about the contents of what happens. Dominants typically pair up with submissives.

I said definitely not on the watching others questions...the only porn one I remember was about paying for it there were probably some I just forgot about. Yeah it was mostly the wording on the dominant one (I have 2 long term 'kinda subs' so not sure 0% is right but I see how I got it) questions about liking to feel superior, or wanting people to feel inferior to me... I am starkly against. I like people who get their feelings of adequacy from themselves, and only tend to act contradictory in defense of someone else (that mommy side showing I suppose) Predator/prey makes a ton of sense but it's not something I've really gone into on these forums.

But it definitely asked questions that pertain to me as a Dominant, including making all the sexual decisions. Including not having it at all.
