How can you tell if your being scamed. I met a mistress on this site who I talked to and thought she cared, or seemed to care. She then wanted me to go on this other dating site and create a bunch of profiles and upgrade them to boost her popularity. She wanted me to create 1 new one a day and upgrade it for $30.00 but then it went down to 2 a week. After figuring numbers out I told her this is not right and told her I cant do this anymore. She kept harping on me to fo this saying things like "jjust a small price to make me happy" or "you promised." I couldnt afford it and she didnt seem to care.

Would any of you mistresses ever do anything like this or is this something totally different and unethical for lack of better words?

She wanted you to set up fake accounts and pay her money and you're asking if it's a scam?

If someone cannot see fit to use the email system here, then it is likely they are trying to get you to do something that is going to cost money. If they try that, then you know what they are really after.

The obvious answer is that it's a scam.

yes I fell for a scam... how do you tell if someone is serious or trying to scam you. Ive seen people say they are they want tribute or to control you financially.

every time we talked not about the website issue, she seemed to care. Asked me how I was doing, chat about mandane things, made me feel special, human for once. She sounded like she was seroious about wanting to meet me... and shes really the only one that ever responded to me in messages. She even gave me her YM name. I thought there was something special.

The money wasnt going to her. I still have one of the accounts fetishdatelink.com and I still use the account. And that one is upgraded. Maybe I should just stick with collarspace and fetlife... at least those are communities.

Edited. If someone asks for tribute it's completely different from "set up these fake accounts for me AND pay me." Also if you are not a finsub or finslave WHY would you consider a FinDomme? I'm just saying guys, geezus.

And... why did you then proceed to spend money on her request anyway? A good rule of thumb if you don't want to get scammed and isn't into financial domination: run like hell the moment money is mentioned.

It seems as if you already have your question figured out - she wanted money from you, therefore she was trying to scam you.

Unless you're trying to ask how to avoid investing your time in someone who will ultimately scam you. That is something we can't tell you. Scammers have to avoid throwing up red flags, at least at the start, because they need to loop people in for cash. So it's possible you'll exchange a few nice messages with someone who later hits you up for cash.

That's just how the internet works. Actually, that's how life works. We don't go around asking people who's worth our time in the real world and who's just out to take advantage of us. That's something we need to figure out for ourselves. Sometimes we make the wrong judgement call and get burned, but shit happens. The same happens online.

You figured out the scam and backed away. That's a good thing. Keep doing that and you'll be fine.

Dont think that bc there is a money exchange, that its a scam. Some people are into financial Domination.
Just use better judgment next time.

omg even a slave can walk away, where do you live, we in the western world are free to walk away from any situation (unless being held captive and even the you can escape eventually if not killed)

so if someone does something you don't like run don't walk run.
