I feel as if I have entered a debate with stupidville, population two.

CD seems happy to use old newspaper reports which were done and dusted two years back, that doesnt make it company policy, not one iota of it.

Would that be you and the Penguin?

I know how old those reports were PS. Again, of you can't figure out why I used them, then I'd say you've entered the right town for you.

I'm done.

Of course you are done...... sadly you will be back.

Care to point out the crap assertion you made and the relevance of it today........ nah thought not.

Nahhh...but not for the reason you assert. Happily, I will be back...sadly, the same holds true for you.

Politesub53 -> RE: News from the Society for the Perpetually Offended (4/25/2015 4:39:19 PM)

I knew two things.... first that I wouldnt get an answer and secondly that you were not done.

So predictable. You claim you meant something but wont say what.... Thats not a debate, thats bollocks.

CreativeDominant -> RE: News from the Society for the Perpetually Offended (4/25/2015 6:15:04 PM)

Why should I have to spell it out for you? No one else seemed to have trouble understanding the point being made.

Still not answering then [8|]

What is so funny is you dont even get the truth, let alone the irony, of what you posted. Thats without the knowledge it was only one store out of hundreds and certainly not company policy.

Carry on with your stupidity though, unless you are "done" again.

And you carry on thinking that you know what it is that I know or feel about anything.

I note you are still perpepetually offended.

FR

Sadly, I don't think everybody contributing to this thread is quite "getting with the programme".

This thread is clearly meant to be for flatulent old righties who fondly imagine that they're "in touch with true common sense wisdom", chortling richly at examples of silly leftyness, in between bouts of satisfying belching and breaking wind, and polishing their guns (and other tools). In fairness, though, this could have been pointed out more obviously by the OP, who is sometimes rather too wry, spry, crisp and dry. [;)]

You forgot the bigoted narrow minded lefties who call anyone who disagrees with them ignorant while puffing their feathers and strutting around like banty roosters wading through their own shit and blaming the right for the stench. Wouldn't want to leave them out, now would we [8D]

Yeah...Silly Americans...expecting the people we vote into office to respect the dignity of the office and just do their job there and not use the space for fucking their interns, especially when the officeholder is married to someone else and they're doing the fucking around on our dime. How provincial of us to expect someone who's going to preach to us about how to behave to expect him/her to behave in a respectful manner.

Wow. Well, if you want to offend yourself and all other Americans, I guess it's your right to go ahead and do just that, CD.

One thing I've noticed, time and again on these boards, is that those who are most likely to scorn what they see as 'political correctness' and oversensitivity regarding minorities, or those generally at the bottom in US society, are exactly the ones who are most hypersensitive to an imagined slight to Americans and the USA *as a whole* - especially from Europeans, but most of all from Brits. Interesting, that. As I've said before, there's no such thing as 'right wing political correctness'. But if it were to be invented - this would be an example of it.

Peon, except for the east coast which tends to be Francophiles, most of the colonies love our patriarchal British. IF we seem to scorn you its because we see you as family and feel like we can do so with no harm done. id like to point out that most, if not all, my friends who have done special forces black type things really believe that the SAS kicks ass...which is high praise indeed. The British "patriarchy" didn't rule the world with puppies and daisies. We admire that. While I'm sure there will be repercussions for me saying so. If you only drove on the correct side of the road, you'd be perfect parents.

the notion of that "all beliefs are of equal value" is a sort of hallmark of the left...

A new one on me, too.

Peon, the post modern philosophy is, in part, a product of aversion to the old power of the church that held that theirs was the only proper way to think. The first rule of post modern thought is that since we can neither prove nor disprove the existence of God, we'll assume there is no God and man is the highest arbiture of moral thought. Therefore, all thought is equal since we cannot tell whose golden rule is superior. Of course, the corollary is that modernity must be deconstructed so the only really taboo and evil thought is that of the white male patriarchy.

Aylee, you are correct. The insane-vein-popping determination is that God and morality doesn't exist, in response to oppressive church dictates that there is no one morality. It is currently the popular belief that since there is no hierarchal golden rule, everyone can pick the rules they want and we are of a superior mind when we accept any thought is equal to any other thought. Unless of course if you prescribe to old out dated modernity that defines a particular golden rule used by patriarchal white males merely trying to inflict empire on women and colored people. Being attacked by post modern believers for ascribing to those modernistic concepts, as you were, should be expected.

LOL, really Aylee? Not caring is harder than caring? Now you're yanking my chain! hehe

I said nothing about caring.

It is a waste of time and life, at least my time and my life, to try and figure out some way of being tolerant of everyone else's beliefs.

Not all beliefs are equal. I see no gain an trying to figure out ways in which they are.

Aylee, the left, post modern thinkers, have to fit you into a narrow box. It's their limited ability to function that is showing. Just ignore it.

Bollocks. [;)]

Peon, the left really does enjoy the fact that they can make a personal determination of morality and they really don't care, they just like to,pretend they do.

About three thousand years ago...give or take...Mencious, a Conficious scholar stated, paraphrased but I can get the exact quote: When a child falls into a well everyone in the village is horified. They are not horrified in order to appear concerned and they are not horified to appear civil to their neighbors. They are horrified as an aspect of their human condition. This proves that there is a natural state of humanity.

Which, of course, post modernists disagree with because they determine that any reaction of a human is equal to any other action of a human. They have to deconstruct a natural human condition in order to support their philosophy.

That not all beliefs are equal and it is a waste of my time to be tolerant of everyone's beliefs? Yeppers.

Yeppers, but a post modern thinker, basically the left, will fight you on that.

Wrong bub, Liberals are generally tolerant of all beliefs, except when those beliefs impact or are forced on others. There's no problem having a belief, but just make sure you keep it in your pants like all your other private stuff. Those who are religious have their churches where they can take it out and show it off, but in places like school or government, it's just inappropriate.

Liberals tolerate all beliefs they agree with and find an excuse to dismiss all others.

mnottertail -> RE: News from the Society for the Perpetually Offended (4/30/2015 7:39:10 AM)

While 'conservatives' only believe what they are ordered to from their corporate masters.

Hahahaha!

No, the Flaming Rage Nozzles of Tolerance are NOT tolerant of all beliefs.

A couple examples:

Calling for the destruction of a pizza parlor whose owners would not wish to cater a gay wedding.

Calling for the boycott of a hotel because the owners associated with a republican.

A stop of support and verbal abuse to a trans that said they were republican.

Whole Foods being vilified for giving sandwiches to National Guard troops. (I won't mention what the troops were called.)

Tolerance. You keep using that word. I do not think it means what you think it means.

You're fucking kidding, right? Tolerant of all beliefs until those beliefs are forced on others?

Tell that to the next person who thinks that its "fair" for them to decide how charitable they'll be with MY money in the never-ending "War on Poverty". I wonder...though they'll probably never say, just how many families are descended from those that were on assistance at the beginning of that "bright new day".

How about this? Next time some group at a publicly-funded university...meaning funded by CONSERVATIVE taxpayers as well as liberal taxpayers and attended by conservative students as well as liberal students...wants to impose THEIR beliefs, liberal or conservative, in shutting down a movie that NO ONE is being forced to go and watch, you and your "tolerant of other beliefs" friends show up and oppose those protesters.
