SCOTUS today refused to hear the case of Voter ID requirements in Wisconsin which the Court of Appeals said was constitutional.

I personally agree that setting up this requirement is a good idea. It prevents several issues.

Sheesh,Voter ID...a solution in search of a problem.

You're a mean person that doesn't want to see people that entered the country illegally, who drain our economy, who have no intention of leaving until they've sucked enough milk at our teat to have a say in further destroying the country they've "invaded".

Shame on you, sir! [/sarcasm]

I can't help but wonder if that's some kind of Chicago tradition?

as its the left who seemingly overwhelmingly benefits from voter fraud, its easy to see how you could say this.

although, one could hope for more intellectual honesty and a sense of fairness...

bounty44 -> RE: SCOTUS and the Wisconsin Voter ID Law (3/24/2015 5:05:35 AM)

here's a fun little thing I just found:

http://www.cs.hmc.edu/~geoff/classes/hmc.cs070.200401/votequote.html

quote:

Source of "Vote Early and Often"

The cynical phrases "Vote early -- and often" and "Vote early -- and vote often" are variously attributed to three different Chicagoans: Al Capone, the famous gangster; Richard J. Daley, mayor from 1955 to 1976; and William Hale Thompson, mayor from 1915-1923 and 1931-1935. All three were notorious for their corruption and their manipulation of the democratic process. It is most likely that Thompson invented the phrase, and Capone and Daley later repeated it.

I thought it was Daily that said it. Sheesh I am so out of date. I need to watch more History Channel

Lucylastic -> RE: SCOTUS and the Wisconsin Voter ID Law (3/24/2015 6:14:52 AM)

So y'all are going back to the 30s to prove there is rampant voter fraud....85 years ago......
and you have proof of voter fraud in huge numbers in the 21st century , where?

KenDckey -> RE: SCOTUS and the Wisconsin Voter ID Law (3/24/2015 7:54:41 AM)

Lucy

“We are all Americans,” Pelosi contended at a press conference from the Rio Grande Valley

I take that quote to mean that they can vote, they have a legal right to act in the political process, they can be elected to government positions, and on and on just because they are in the country and possibly were in the country. That there is no such thing as an illegal alien/immigrant (for the politically correct crowd). Now we know that is not true, but, if that the the policy of the left, then they wold be allowed to vote, etc unless we create a method of identification.

Additionally wasn't there 6 alabama counties that the voter registrations exceeded the voting population, 9 counties in Iowa, 3 counties in ohio, 15 counties in missouri. This was based upon the registration lists and the 2010 census if I am not mistaken. Also seems like there were 5 states that this happened but I can't remember them all. If true, that would be 10% of the country and to me that is significant.

Clearly you have not read up upon the issue.

kdsub -> RE: SCOTUS and the Wisconsin Voter ID Law (3/24/2015 10:08:21 AM)

Finally an end to an issue that should never have been an issue...and the beginning of a landslide of voter ID laws that MAY bring perceived, even if not needed, belief in the integrity of the vote.

Lucylastic -> RE: SCOTUS and the Wisconsin Voter ID Law (3/24/2015 10:15:08 AM)

If you think that Butch, Ive got an desert oasis in the yukon to sell you

kdsub -> RE: SCOTUS and the Wisconsin Voter ID Law (3/24/2015 10:17:20 AM)

hmmmm will you be there?

Lucylastic -> RE: SCOTUS and the Wisconsin Voter ID Law (3/24/2015 10:19:36 AM)

nah I have one in my backyard... [;)]

kdsub -> RE: SCOTUS and the Wisconsin Voter ID Law (3/24/2015 10:29:11 AM)

lol... Lucy ...opinion now...but I will bet, my new desert oasis anyway, in the next five years we will see an increase in the percent of voters among the groups many have claimed these laws would suppress. There is a new awakening in these groups and it will be reflected in the vote. I also don't believe voter ID's will reveal widespread voter fraud... To me this was all a bunch of political crap with no real effect on anything... A waste of time to implement and a waste of time to oppose.

Butch
