My husband knows the "cooker" inside and out, since he retired, he cooks dinner practically everyday, but it has nothing to do with "dominance"
He just likes to cook and he is bloody good at it too
so do my kids, one is now a chef:)

Status: offline 		We both are skilled in the kitchen and have complimentary skills so we can prepare crazy good several course meals. I'm good at baking, veggies, and side dishes- he is great at meat and potatoes and knows booze and food pairings. We love cooking together, I wouldn't have it any other way.

Status: offline 		There are parts of the world that use Turkish toilets, meaning a hole or waste collection on the floor that you squat over. It's supposed to be better for you but I'm sticking with American plumbing.

Status: offline 		This thread reminds me of how surprised I was at age 19 to find that EVERYONE didn't know how to do laundry, mop a floor, and cook an edible meal.
Even today I have to watch my language as I find people who can't do those simple "mechanics of life" only masquerading as adult.

and I spent a lot of my growing up years in France. Although I wouldn't have a squat toilet in my home, I prefer to squat over a toilet than sit on it. A seat just gets in the way when you do that!

Almost all of my socks are nice warm black microfiber ones or black compression ones >.> <.< ... I don't wear a lot of socks :p

I'm from the UK. The thing with an oven and hob is a cooker. Unless its an Aga. But they are more traditional.
I'm also from the SOUTH of the UK but living up north.
They have very funny names for things round here.

They call a bread roll a "Barm cake"
They put potato and meat pasties on them and gravy and sometimes mushy peas to make a "Pasty-Barm"
The other day my 11 year old son said "I'm goin t'shop wi mi da"
The mind boggles.
