or we could carry on with taking personal liberty from women, forcing them into birth and motherhood, by relligious liberty folks.

I have to give the conservatives here credit, they derailed the thread and made it about themselves and their own issues -- and not about the unarmed, frightened, black man gunned (shot in the back multiple times) down by the Police.

Did anyone else find it heinous that the police tried to claim they administered CPR to try and save the victim's life?

in terms of the intentional killing of unborn babies as being anything other than murder, then we have a vastly different understanding of what's being "characterized."

As for personal values -- I have never knocked a woman up when I was not in a position to take care of a child she might have. Now that I see all the work it takes for a pregnant woman to carry a child to term -- and then care for it afterward --- I would never mansplain to her what to do. I also fully see the damage to a child who is forced into the world and then neglected.

"unwillingness to learn"??? lol.. I had enough of that actual learning about god, religion and all that crap when i was a kid.. In fact, it was that "learning" about God from a Priest that turned me right off God and religion for life.. My unwillingness to learn from you (or any other religious person) is an unwillingness to be brainwashed.. It just aint gonna happen..

Is that what they tried to claim??? did they take the cuffs off him first?? I found it pretty heinous that the cop put cuffs on his dying/dead body.. I really dont understand how any cop could get away with claiming self defense or fearing for his life when they have shot the person in the back (and from a distance)..

strictly speaking in terms of the definition, you are correct. however, there is little if any moral distinction going on. and that said...unfortunately, to my knowledge, an equivalent term does not exist for the hundreds of thousands of unborn babies killed each year, so "infanticide", loosely understood, suffices for me.

I agree with you.. i saw several articles about the horse thief just today.. this white guy horse thief tho has a criminal record apparently, unlike Scott who it seems only had child support problems... There have been incidents of cops beating up women also.. and shooting children and pets.. basically, it can happen to anyone when they meet the wrong cop at the wrong time..

Status: offline 		tj there are almost 1,000,000 police officers in the US... how many criminals do you think there is in any 1,000,000 people? I would be willing to bet, and i did look it up once, that police officers as a group have a lower crime rate than the general population. To me that would mean you are safer with them than non-police.
