Perhaps I've never stated it in so many words - maybe I've joked around with it too much, too: it is just ridiculous to me to look down on anyone of any nationality, or colour, or culture, religion or gender, just because of those things - it doesn't make sense to me. It really is alien to my worldview.

It's ironic, really, about that issue of snobbery and pompousness and the charge of that coming my way and that of various Brits and other non-Americans here: Where I get a whiff of the pompousness and snobbery I'm talking about, it really makes me recoil in horror. I think it would any Brit - any European, actually. Some Americans I've seen here do smell of that to me, I have to say. Or the American version of it, as I see it, anyway.

I hate to repeat myself but conservatives don't appose assistance for the needy. We appose it for moochers who don't need it. We appose corporate welfare. Of course all of this is a drop in the bucket compared to unfunded entitlements (another form of welfare). What is it all going to matter anyway once the dollar is devalued to the point we're all in the poor house ? At that point no one will be getting much of anything. I don't think conservatives, at least on this forum are racist, bigots or homophobes. We're Federalreservaphobes.
