Once again you are either poorly informed or just plain wrong. Most people who use heroin do not become addicted to it, but live otherwise unremarkable lives, holding down jobs, raising families etc. Your posts echo the worst kind of sensationalist coverage this topic receives in the gutter press - the only question your posts raise is: "are the cliches you use jaded or merely false?' No tweak... please read THIS... out of 4.2 million users in the US it is estimated 23 percent become addicted... or 996,000 is that enough people with destroyed lives and families enough to prove you are wrong? There is no such thing as a well adjusted holding jobs and raising family heroin addict ... if you think there is you are naive. Butch Actually the figures that you have supplied prove my claim that most heroin users do not become addicted is correct. If 23% become addicted as your figures claim then it naturally follows that 77% do not become addicted. As for your second claim ("There is no such thing as a well adjusted holding jobs and raising family heroin addict") I know such people. So please don't tell me they can't exist. You resort to denial when faced with facts that do not fit into your picture of the cliched drug addict, a picture that seems to rely exclusively on the sensationalist media and has little to do with the realities that most drug users experience. There is little point in continuing a conversation with a person who doesn't understand that 77% constitutes a majority, who refuses to face facts and whose only knowledge of drug use appears to be gained from the gutter press.
