Sanity -> Hillarys' 180 On Illegal Immigration (5/7/2015 10:48:48 AM)

Before:

Video - Hillary Clinton: I’m “adamantly against illegal immigrants.”

After:

quote:

WASHINGTON (AP) -- President Barack Obama says his executive actions blocking the deportation of millions living illegally in the U.S. go as far as the law allows. But Hillary Rodham Clinton says that if she becomes president, she would go even further.

Pander much, Hillary?

Whatever happened to politicians who had values and who stood up for their values.

HunterCA -> RE: Hillarys' 180 On Illegal Immigration (5/7/2015 11:02:33 AM)

What I find interesting is that Obama said 22 times it would be illigal for him to change immigration enforcement unilaterally. Then after he did so he said he'd gone as far as he legally could. Now Hillary is saying she'll go further. WTF. It's a race to see how unconstitutional we can be in order to pander.

Sanity -> RE: Hillarys' 180 On Illegal Immigration (5/7/2015 11:05:31 AM)

Further than the law allows...

Yeah.

What does it matter now if she is pledging to ignore our system of laws in the future

Tkman117 -> RE: Hillarys' 180 On Illegal Immigration (5/7/2015 11:39:10 AM)

As funny as it is to watch you two circle jerk each other, you seem to miss something; she's a fucking politican. She'll say whatever panders to her audience of course, which in this case is immigrants. If you cons looked at your own reps you'll find they do the exact same thing by appealing to your fears instead.

Goodness! Liberal butt hurt showing again. Still waiting to hear your expertise.

Tkman117 -> RE: Hillarys' 180 On Illegal Immigration (5/7/2015 11:59:02 AM)

Lol! My expertise? I pay attention to the way the world works, contrary to sticking your head in the dirt. I'm curious, you're claiming I'm the one butt hurt and yet you and sanity are bitching and moaning that Hillary is doing something you know will help win her votes. Projection much?

So, no education, no training and no experience? Got it, for future reference.

Tkman117 -> RE: Hillarys' 180 On Illegal Immigration (5/7/2015 12:09:53 PM)

Let's put it this way, if I listed my expertise do you think that you would care or change your tune? No, of course not. So in the end the point you're making is what? That I actually don't know what I'm talking about? I could point out your blatant disregard for the scientific process to refute your expertise. So in the end we reach a stalemate and the discussion goes where? You get the chance to make character and ad hominem attacks and you get to feel superior to someone, good for you. Con psychology isn't terribly difficult to predict bud, if you want to catch someone with their pants down who isn't expecting it, try the Catholic Church, they're experts at that sort of thing.

LMAO, you worked in the Catholic Church. As I look back I'm pretty sure I provided a link to an expert every time I chided your lack of understanding. I'm pretty sure that there were no ad hominum attacks since everything was linked to show you were wrong.

For your use, here's a definition of ad hominem http://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ad_hominem

Which is to attack the person rather than the topic. I've always pointed out why you were an idiot before I said so. So, technically, there were no ad hominem attacks on you by me.

As to whether or not I'd change my tune if you had said you had any education, training and experience, I will have to say that I'd probably have mentioned you were not a sterling credit to your educators, trainers or supervisors.

I worked in the Catholic Church...you know if you're going to make stupid accusations....actually, that's probably not possible, you can't seem to help yourself.

And yet when I point out your stupidity I'm suddenly a butt hurt liberal, which last time I checked would be considered an ad hominem. Funny how that works, seems we got a bit of a hypocrite on our hands here [8|]

And I find that rich coming from the guy who blatantly ignored 97% of climate scientists on the topic of climate change. So which is it? Am I a failure in the eyes of my profs or is it just one big conspiracy to swindle the good common folk out of their money to prevent a changing climate?

HunterCA -> RE: Hillarys' 180 On Illegal Immigration (5/7/2015 12:22:50 PM)

Oh goodness. I see Tkman117 has left the room. I do hope it wasn't something I said. But it does show how liberals just don't like being treated the way they treat everyone else.

Tkman117 -> RE: Hillarys' 180 On Illegal Immigration (5/7/2015 12:27:04 PM)

lol, that's rich from the guy who supports the party who promoted intolerance and hate. And I treat everyone with the respect they deserve, and considering that, you deserve a lot less than most people since I have no care for the willfully ignorant.

Tkman117...who worked the Catholic Church into the conversation? I'm pretty sure if I followings posts above it was you. Are you not understanding or did I over look someone else's comment you were referencing?

Yes I mentioned butt hurt by observing your tone and content. Having years of experience with the English language I consider I'm qualified to do that. So I'm gonna have to call this one as not ad hominem. I know. You feel I should be shamed. I apologize for not being so.

There you go. Thanks for proving my point. Now I can ignore you on this thread. Say what you'd like.

Tkman117 -> RE: Hillarys' 180 On Illegal Immigration (5/7/2015 12:32:32 PM)

I make a jab and you say i work at the Catholic Church, if you were trying to turn that jab on me it was poorly done.

Oh really, so what else are qualified in? Bitching and moaning seems to top the list considering the fist posts of the thread. seriously man, tone? In text? Ha, that's funny. You do realize you can read the same thing with a different tone of voice and it will convey different meanings. Or did you seem to overlook that little tidbit of English knowledge in your "experience"

Please understand that I am not reading all of this, but want to pop in and ask you all to keep it balanced. I am jumping from one thing to another here and have staff working other areas and at their real jobs. Any thread moving fast tends to have something warming or hot.

Doesn't it make better sense when choosing a president, to find someone who is more like a rock, than a feather in the wind?

Tkman117 -> RE: Hillarys' 180 On Illegal Immigration (5/7/2015 12:59:14 PM)

Name one politican who has never done that in their careers, I guaruntee they have changed opinions atleast once during their bids for or during public office. But then again maybe that's your problem, you can't accept things in this world change, such as opinions, so you assume that any leader must be just as unchanging as your failed idea of what reality is.

Changing one's view in politics

A Cynical View:

The person is just playing politician and playing up to the audience to sound most with 'the majority'.

Optimistic View:

After a time of reviewing information, looking at things, considering the other side's arguments, and finding the holes in the previous argument, a new direction is declared in reasoning.

I've watched a number of conservatives at local and state levels that had some harsh viewpoints on the poor. Once they got into public office, they often had a softened viewpoint on the plight of the poor. That most of them follow the laws but circumstances keep them in economic hardships. That the conservative soon has to weigh the 'attitudes of the less informed' whom voted them into office against the reality of their position as it concerns the poor. Over time many of them take a moderator or in some cases, a more liberal view on 'how to help the poor ease their suffering'.

Being able to weigh competing thoughts and arrive at the best argument should never be seen as a negative concept (at least in our society). Its fun to pick on those that attacked others for 'waffling' on an issue when they themselves were hardcore against the subject. To often the person that picks a stance and 'stays the course' irrelevant of detail and reality; soon find they will hit that metaphorical iceberg and do critical damage to the ship. unfortunately due to their resolve and ego, they can not change course.

No she is "promising" to violate the law.
