cloudboy -> Republicans for President!! (5/18/2015 6:22:53 AM)

As presented by Gail Collins:

• Republican contenders are multiplying like gerbils

• The first Republican debate is scheduled for Aug. 6 — plan your party now — and the way things stand, the crowd on stage may be the size of the Mormon Tabernacle Choir.

• Right now there seem to be at least 15 hopefuls: Jeb Bush, Rick Santorum, Rick Perry, Donald Trump, George Pataki, Ben Carson, Carly Fiorina, Lindsey Graham, Bobby Jindal, George Pataki, Rand Paul, Scott Walker, Ted Cruz, Marco Rubio, Mike Huckabee

• That’s a pretty diverse group, with one Indian-American, one African-American, two Cuban-Americans and, anyway, at least one woman. Plus, the list includes both the first surgeon to separate twins conjoined at the back of the head and the first reality-show host to fire Khloe Kardashian.

• The Republicans are planning a maximum of 12 primary debates this year

• on the issues front, there’s already a lot of consensus. For instance, retroactive foreign policy: If they could time-travel back to 2002, everybody would stay the heck out of Iraq.

I dont lnow why you bring up time travel

Hillary would probably change her pro-Iraq war vote too, if she could time travel

What does time travel have to do with anything

cloudboy -> RE: Republicans for President!! (5/18/2015 6:53:14 AM)

It was a major talking point this week with Jeb Bush and Marco Rubio.

Who do you plan to vote for?

Looks more like its a leftist talking point

Arguably cost Hillary in 2008, think it will cost her again this time around?

DaddySatyr -> RE: Republicans for President!! (5/18/2015 7:18:30 AM)

Everyone and their idiot brother thought going into Iraq, when we did, was the right thing to do; including Hillary, John Kerry, I believe even Harry Reid.

What Iraq proved to me (and a lot of former military personnel) is that the way we wage "peace keeping" is a waste of lives and money.

If we must use the military, they should have a plan for real victory, execute it, and move on to the exit strategy. We had none. We haven't conducted a war with the purpose of going in and defeating an enemy since WWII. We ask our fighting men to go onto death's ground with their trigger hand tied around their balls.

Iraq was a mistake. No one disputes that, now. The PPLs have to hang on to it because it's on their list or talking points and it's an attempt to distract from all the shit that this "transparent" administration has been outed on.

A big part of the problem was the politics. The left was all for liberating Iraq until they realized that if we successfully freed tens of millions of desperate Iraqis and Afghans, Bush would be a real hero

Couldnt have that, of course

So they began working overtime to undermine him in every way imaginable, to undermine our soldiers, all of us as a nation, undermine the Iraqi people, the Afghan people, with everything they had

Propaganda, disinformation, lies... The mass media leftist elites gladly joined in

Today they are proud of what they did, and it is still a talking point. May cost Hillary the nomination though

HunterCA -> RE: Republicans for President!! (5/18/2015 7:38:49 AM)

And then on the left, there's Hillary who's answered exactly 13 questions in the two months she's been campaigning, mostly softballs she's screaned in advance, and Bernie. Bernie wants lots of debates. Hillary knows if she opens her mouth and answers questions she's doomed. So that will be interesting to watch. Bernie's already asked the press if he has to go negative to get some focus on issues including getting Hillary's side. Hillary can't speak because she'll have to go way left to deal with Bernie which will kill her later after the primary. So, we'll have Bernie muck raking and Hillary avoiding any semblance of a political discussion.

No, the questions were asked on Fox News. Sorry to hear you are so out of touch.

cloudboy -> RE: Republicans for President!! (5/18/2015 7:52:14 AM)

You're leaving the Galaxy. Topic is Republican Presidential Candidates. Who are you going to vote for and why? How will that candidate help the nation?

All Candidates will be asked the following question (which was asked on Fox News) -- would you invade IRAQ in 2002 now that you've seen the results of the invasion.

Given public reaction this week, any answer of YES means such candidate will forfeit his/her Presidential nomination.

Out of touch? [:D]

All you have are personal attacks? [:D]

Your link is to the official Democrat Party propaganda organ, the NYT

Running the huge tap dance. Who will you support for President and why?

Psst: Hillary Clinton is not running for the GOP and is not listed as a 2016 GOP hopeful.

Psst: The IRAQ war question was all in the news this week with Jeb Bush and Marco Rubio. See if you can catch up.

Oh, I see. We cant discuss the Democrats who were all for liberating Iraq (such as Hillary Clinton)

This is strictly about far left propaganda, real world challenges by means of actual facts arent allowed

Otherwise youll get all defensive and call me a dum dum poo poo head

cloudboy -> RE: Republicans for President!! (5/18/2015 7:56:59 AM)

Hillary is not running for the GOP nomination. Who are you for and why? What do they bring to the table. What does the field say about the GOP?

cloudboy -> RE: Republicans for President!! (5/18/2015 7:58:40 AM)

Is it your position that someone not listed in the OP is seeking the GOP nomination? Try to stick to facts.

Who do you support and why? Why do you refuse to answer the question?

You, your cut-and-paste propaganda, mentioned the Iraq war in the OP, and time travel, as a slight against all the Republicans

Totally fair game to include others who favored liberating Iraq in the equation rather than let you get away with the hyper-partisan attack

As far as the Republican candidates go, not Jeb. Other than that I am open minded

if you really wanted a serious/genuine answer, it would have been helpful if you didn't start what looked like mocking.

one of the things the amount of candidates says about the GOP is that they are (and rightly so) distressed about the way the country has gone for the past 6ish years, and they certainly don't want another 4-8 years with another liberal.

id vote for any one of them who wants to reign in government spending and power and who believes strongly in free enterprise and personal freedom and responsibility.

right now, my top three are ted cruz, rand paul and scott walker. ive mentioned elsewhere, jeb bush rubs me the wrong way, and id only vote for him over a democrat in the presidential election.

cloudboy -> RE: Republicans for President!! (5/18/2015 8:07:24 AM)

Not Jeb Bush. Got it.

http://video.foxnews.com/v/4242631656001/rubio-jeb-bush-face-repeated-questions-on-iraq-war/?#sp=show-clips

As you see, this is a Fox News driven thing (IRAQ War do-over question.)

cloudboy -> RE: Republicans for President!! (5/18/2015 8:10:25 AM)

Yes, so many problems in the USA -- what we need is that many more candidates.

if you are trying to be sarcastic---your two clauses really aren't joined in any meaningful, or even humorous way.

what more candidates does is creates more dialog in the political marketplace and gets more people involved in the election process. I see both of those as desirable things.

though I do realize the left would probably rather just enjoy a "benevolent" dictator...

the post above me---well said eric Erickson.
