Is this site running very slowly for anyone else or is it just me?

New on here - not sure if this is normal?

This is not normal and it is happening for everyone. We have our Tech and Experts assisting with new software and servers, so the process with all that we have stored on site, is taking a while. It's been a long process that we hope will soon be over. That's about the best I can do in explaining it all.

We are sorry for the inconvenience!

LOL I think you weren't the only one. It's been awful, but new software and equipment has had even the experts hoping and a praying. From what I hear, they are getting somewhere with it, but I'm keeping my digits crossed and have passionately used words I haven't used in a long time.

Perhaps performance would be improved by cleaning out all those profiles of people who haven't logged into the site for years and years?

Did they dump the old IIS v.7 (or v8) platform the site was on?

Yeah the only news is that there's no news on this matter.
CM is very slow from the start from my location, and now I cannot even get logged in at times.

I too am having difficulty logging in. Can we get an update on a timescale to fix the problem.

Just to be clear, this is not just a little sluggishness. The servers are clearly struggling and I am getting error pages when trying to log in and sending messages. This, of course, means the site is broken not just slow.

Also, the system no longer emails when I recieve a message.

So, any indication when it will be fixed?

For a while last night, CollarSpace.com was running perfectly, better than ever before. It was loading page requests as fast as I could click them and it reloaded profile photos instantly . . . 10 minutes later, it lagged out again.

I was up then too, so were they. We didn't get done until 3:00 in the morning for some of them and I wasn't out of here until five. We are working on all the issues one way or another and while making headway, we still meet with times when something slows things down. We are literally working night and day and no one wants this fixed more than we do. Support is bombarded and insulted all day and night long. We are told how to fix what they think is the problem, beating up support that has nothing to do with it. Five reports from the same person in a day calling you a low life, loser, abuser, unintelligent and on and on and that is just one person. Multiply that with a really big number and you know the day that support is having each and every day.

Tech has support and me all over them telling them of what is going on and they have to take time to tell us what is going on and hoping we understand at least two words of a sentence.

I have personally gone toe to toe with one staff member. Not because either of us had a toe to toe worthy argument, but because we are tired. Believe me when I say we want this done and over with. I have repeatedly said that even experts, a number of them have been hired to sort it out and they have been stumped while we get stomped on. It has actually been our tech that has figured more out than they did.

Why didn't you put up a notice?

We didn't know this would happen.

Why don't you shut the site down while you do this?

Because we thought that even though it is a pain, once it started, that some of you would like access to friends you may not be able to contact anywhere else or wanted to continue to post, though it is a pain in the butt.

Why didn't we see all things that have happened coming?

You got me there. After all we are all geniuses and know it alls and now our power has just been diminished to a devastating degree because we showed how human we can be and our god-like act is proven to be false.

What can I say, but that we are sorry and are trying very hard, at great expense and for those of you that need to hear it, well, someone just might have learned a lesson. Like don't mess up even if you didn't mess up, because giving the appearance of messing up will be your downfall.

Wow, thank you kallisto. We aren't meaning to cry the blues, but to share with others that we are in this struggle with them and doing all we can to sort it out, each in our own department.

I see your are burning midnight oil. Y'all are doing something right cause you had on track for a while there.

As far as predicting a software failure, it takes more than a crystal ball to see that coming sometimes.

Thank you for understanding RS. I made a call as soon as that happened and I think they were tying to do something too fast and had to slow it down. How do you like my technical terms? I don't have to get the words, know them or fully understand the process fortunately and so far they get me, though they do sigh, make funny sounds and laugh at me. I just hope you all understand that they can't tell me everything and it would do no good if they did, so I am limited in what I can share with you all.

They look for bugs. I just try to put out fires. I have the easy part, until I get something so wrong someone wants to wring my neck. Luckily I know how to run and hide.

I could swear this has been ongoing for several weeks now. It seems like 60% of the time i attempt to visit the site, it is simply not here. Server eerrors, or infinite timeout.

As a result traffic to my inbox, which is usually at least reasonably active, is completely nil for several weeks, which is slowly killing any reason to return here. I find myself simply forgetting about it for days at a time now. I'm losing the will to deal with the hassle. Fix your shit please.
