The namby pamby offensiveness bullshit just gives the racist idiots something to get a rise out of all you offended types. Suppose it were to become some a little more than 'namby pamby offensiveness', lovmuffin? It's not as if interracial violence hasn't exploded in a major way many times before in the US, after all. I mean, not accusing your good self personally, but I get the feeling that there's a sort of smug, know-it-all,self-satisfied vibe of 'Oh, that's just people being Politically Correct and *pretending* to be offended - when, in fact, it's actually people beginning to approach boiling point. Sure racial violence has exploded before and way back in the day rightly so. It had nothing to do with the flag though I'll admit that some started flying it after racial discrimination and segregation were eliminated by law. Most of those who are offended including those who are approaching a boiling point have been conditioned over the years by race baiters and liberals looking for things to be offended about for political gain, pretty much the same as all the issues on the Perpetually Offended thread. Smug, know it all, maybe. Self-satisfied, no. Back in the day when I was growing up (I was born in GA but grew up mostly in a northern state) I used to wear a necktie that belonged to my dad (he grew up in GA). It had 2 crossed confederate battle flags on it. I wore it to school at times when school groups would dress up for various occasions. A lot of people thought it was way kewl. No one was offended nor did they know they were supposed to be offended. Back then I didn't have a clue it would become a racist symbol to people whose minds are full of mush or adopted by idiot hate groups. No one else did either. I'd like to see some high school kid try wearing something like that to school now.
