Ken who the hell is screening theses nuts.. Yes I would worry about armed people outside my door... for all we know terrorists could be among them.

I say stay home if you don't have jobs
Go to work if you do
The military is perfectly capable of defending themselves.

Butch

Do you recall the picture of four black guys standing in front of, and protecting a white owned gas station in Ferguson? Are you telling me that if you were the owner you would them to go away and you would take your chances with the rioters?

Not just yes but he'll yes. By the way they did not have guns

Yes they did, one was quoted as pointing out to a potential looter that he would shoot the first one to attack the store. All four of them had guns.
BTW you would have lost your business.

Just looked up the story.
They were only armed if you count AR-15s as weapons.

Of course they did -- when everyone carries, we're all safer, remember????

And there it is...
http://www.dispatch.com/content/stories/local/2015/07/23/recruiting-center-shot-fired.html

In the story it mentions that this was not the first time this person had been charged for this.

Lucylastic -> RE: 4 Marines killed in Tennesee (7/23/2015 6:45:50 PM)

One person out of how many?
If the army would allow recruiters to be able to defend themselves nothing like this would happen.
That would seem to be the solution, or just deciding that recruiters are expendable.

I agree that recruiters should be able to carry.

But I think if this keeps up, we will see more of this.

Putting recruiters in a position to defend themselves should put an end to this sort of thing.

Marini -> RE: 4 Marines killed in Tennesee (7/23/2015 7:49:03 PM)

The fact that we even have to discuss whether or not people in the military SHOULD be able to defend themselves, while engaged in active duty activities,
shows how damn nuts, this country has become.

Maybe we need to recruit civilians to protect the military.

When did this country become so damn upside down?

what the fuckity fuck?

On page one I asked for a sane reason not to arm recruiters, and haven't gotten one good reason yet.

Musicmystery -> RE: 4 Marines killed in Tennesee (7/23/2015 8:25:30 PM)

Hell, that's easy. I certainly wouldn't oppose arming them, but carrying can also make them targets.

Yeah, I get here they were targets anyway. But that's one possible reason.
