But if there are white people who always assume such selfishness in black people, they will tend to hear black people saying 'black lives matter' as 'only black lives matter' rather than 'black lives matter, too'. Frigging hell. Maybe one simple solution really would be to rename the movement 'Black Lives Matter Too'.

There's yourself, who can see The Truth with the dazzling light of your ultra-sanity, and there us politically-correct lefties, stultified by guilt, bullshitting ourselves and everybody else about everything, etc, etc, etc .... If my 'poor starving baby' is telling an obvious lie - then I wouldn't feel any guilt - "white", as you call it - or otherwise - about pulling him up on it.
