I would say with my grace on these boards that that particular hat would be quite appropriate...

Absolutely, and I apologize for misunderstanding you. I've already got a call in to the Big Guy. Cash or credit?

That hat is most appropriate for any who share your self serving arrogance which is matched only by your self justifying ignorance.[;)]. How long did you resist reading the doj reports? You do this a lot butch. Do you not always give first credence to the cops? Then after the police have been proved to be the criminal you will finally accept the facts...fighting all the way. In any activity we can apply a bell curve. It applies to demonstrators and cops too. By definition x amount are substandard. This would apply across patrolmen as well as across chiefs of police.
In another thread there is discussion about a couple of hundred high school students walking out in protest over a transgender person...Now having been a high school, albeit not recently, but might there be some significant fraction of that 200 who found a "legal" way to ditch a few classes? I know you would never consider "ditching" but is it possible that you knew some who did. I am just making another example of the bell curve.

I'm sure the same was said about our Lord and Savior... I guess i shall have to endure the same disdain... fear not for i forgive you. May I borrow your sleeve... I seem to have a smudge on my hat.

hmmm I wonder if with a little hot glue I can stick a couple of baseball bats and red birds on it.

cardinals fan? I grew up being one in the days of bob gibson and lou brock. I don't pay much attention to baseball now but the thought of it holds a special place in me. read a stan musial biography this past year too...

and never mind field of dreams and the sandlot being amongst my favorite movies!

that's pretty neat...

one of my better friends during that time was a mets fan, and another was a Yankees fan, so we'd have a great time ribbing each other. great baseball card collecting times too.

if you are looking for some good baseball history/biographies, lemme know. ive read bunches and can make some good recommendations.

This poll and the results have been interesting.
Many enjoy pushing the envelope to make their points and as many things in life.......It is what it is.
Take what you need and enjoy, and leave the rest.

I grew up on Long Island, in a house divided: Dad, sis, and youngest bro are Yankees fans. Middle brother and I root for the Mets. Mom still misses the Dodgers.

Check out the couple just under "New" on this cover, one of my all-time favorites.

that's a neat cover dc---"forbidden love" is pretty compelling.

at the same time though, it reminded me of bill murray in ghostbusters "...dogs living with cats, mass hysteria!"

if your mother likes to read baseball (but more cultural) history, she might enjoy praying for gil hodges by Thomas Oliphant.

Josh gibson is someone else you and she might find interesting

"The Sporting News, baseball’s written authority for decades, credited Gibson in 1967 with hitting a 580-foot home run in Yankee Stadium. The ball landed two feet from the top of the bleacher wall. "
