That's a still from 'The Wizard of Oz', isn't it?

But in 'The Wizard of Oz' only ONE of the characters didn't have a brain. All four of them seem to be in an eternal search for one.....

Perhaps, but in this version, all four of them are looking for a brain.

I should have kept reading down the page before my last post. Great minds think alike :)

It certainly took huckabee and Cruz's wind out of their sails, as she was released before the rally could actually start.
Giving that she told the judge that she would obey his rules to get out of the contempt charge....then hours later (not even) saying that she wasnt going to do anything of the kind...is it contempt of a contempt charge?.

If she was under oath, then it would be perjury.

Not even close. Someone that looks like Mrs. Clinton would be smart enough not to stay married to a person like Mr. Huckabee!

If the judge tells you not to do something specifically. An you go an do it. Don't expect the judge to be any less forgiving or patient when you arrive back in their court. Particularly after you stated to said judge, you would not do so as a condition of being released from custody.

Do you just open your mouth to change feet?

Nope, I stated something an intelligent and informed person might say of Mr. Huckabee with the understanding of your question.

I wonder ... when the right takes power, again, will we see people jailed for being atheist? This certainly seems to have set the precedent.

Not even remotely. If she was jailed for being a "christian", which only a complete idiot would claim, it would be a different story.

I think i will be dead before the right get the whitehouse again

Another one who only opens his mouth to change feet.

You have to admire the flexibility of someone who can put his foot in his mouth while his head is up his ass.

She does, a bit. However Hillary doesn't have that mad-glaring-eyes thing I've so often noticed in God-botherers.

Nup. It's the 'disturbingly happy' thing about the eyes that I mean, K. Hillary's look there is just the normal looney look that all politicians work hard to perfect.

Kirata -> RE: An now jailed! (9/10/2015 4:10:41 PM)

Shit, I edited the wrong post.

PeonForHer -> RE: An now jailed! (9/10/2015 4:29:28 PM)

Do you go for that 'All the weight is off my shoulders because I have God' look yourself, K? Do you actually admire the wonderful certainty that someone like Kim Davis has, as a result of the firm belief in her religion? I mean, most of us, I think, are saddled with fundamental doubt about things - a necessary consequence of adopting reason as the 'ultimate authority'. Is that not for you - and do you, yourself, prefer something other than reason as your ultimate authority, as it were?

ETA: And, re the present topic - do you actually support Kim Davis's position? In fact would you go further and say that you actually admire it?

What's your position on all this, K, if you wouldn't mind saying?
