FR A 33 year old five year veteran, Randolph Holder, was murdered in Harlem today while trying to stop an armed robbery. According to Police Commissioner Bill Bratton this makes 4 New York City officers murdered in the last 11 months.

Let me see if I got this straight, or at least understand one poster's position. Until the number of dead cops equals the number of dead african americans killed by cops (even though the vast majority of the shootings were "clean") then there is no cause for concern? I guess it does not matter that some of the officers were minority officers?

Is it not possible to grieve for both? Or to look at the system honestly, and analyze the issues, so that both sorts of incidents are minimized?

We have been going after "bad shoots" and all prosecuting them has accomplishied, particularly when they turn out justified, is increasing hatred of cops.
