indeed, when I first heard Cheryl cole I wondered if he was irish---there seems to be some similarities.

I got to visit York once when I was in England, and also traversed part of northern england from its east coast to the west coast of Scotland.

am also a big fan of all the james herriot books!

I think you've been fortunate there, Bounty. There are many interesting places with its own character in the world and Northern England would certainly fall into that category.

Scotland, too, it's interesting that as soon as you cross the border from the North into Scotland the landscape changes. Not marked for someone from a huge place with a variety of landscapes, but I'm always fascinated by crossing the border and were there no sign stating: "welcome to Scotland" a half-hearted observer would realise they were leaving the North and moving into another country.

I just put this link up because to me the picture is typical of Northern England. Completely different to Southern England or Scotland.

It's just such a stunning place and I suppose it means a lot to me because it's my home.

Home being the North of England not England. The Cockneys and that lot down there may as well be from another planet.

I just want to say, I don't know why so many American late show host is making fun of Ben Carson's accent, but I really like his accent! I like that he speaks slowly and clearly and it's soothing to hear him speak!

I got a thing for soft spoken guys, and I kinda like this monotone. But I think I would be terrified of him if his in a rage. Wonder how he would sound like then.
