I came in after benji but I think we co-existed for about six months.

It took me a minute. I came up empty without doing the full screen name. In my usual backward, computer twit style, I got further with 'benji' as a search term, rather than author. (People saying they agreed with benji or he signed the post.) The posts are there and could also find them from the 'view member's posts' tag on the profile. I'm glad to see they aren't gone. Completely agree. The guy was a riot.

I didn't read all of the posts. Was this mystery ever resolved?

Did you piss off Anonymous RS? Otherwise, it isn't hard to know what happened. A mod with very specific privileges, not given to most of the forum moderators, was messing with you. I like to think whoever did it, wasn't being mean - just teasing you. I'm ridiculously stupid that way, and my new years resolutions is to stop thinking people are basically good.

If you feel like you need an ear to abuse...I changed my number.

An idea is swirling around in my head, to collect a list of well liked old posters and ask them back. Any thoughts on this idea? And no, I'm not just whoring for posts to get this to page 20. Just an idea I haven't thought through.

Or, we could just carry on and let new good threads happen without comparison to how it used to be. I have nostalgic feelings toward CollarChat for my own reasons, so I understand the sentiment, for sure. But making well-received posts or posters highlighted in some way would turn that post or poster into one endorsed by the site - or seemingly, anyway. Not something I'd like to see, personally. I think stickies or other special attention-getting posts should only be admin-written posts regarding rules. ...said the stick in the mud.
