Well, you should. I'll go even further than that and say that more than one of you (you meaning those with Administrative access) has to have that ability. I'm not the only long term poster around here who has seen individuals come along and put stuff on these forums that needs to be taken down from member view. Just a few off the top of my head have been posts about how to locate members by their physical address, (one even came with a google map) revenge porn, posts made about sexual encounters with non-adults, and the list goes on and on. Just yesterday, I reported a journal entry because somebody was talking about loving their pet in a certain kind of way. That kind of content has to go.

Publicly? No. Privately? If it were me, I'd be trying to sort it out. The list of who has the ability/access to do something like change a forum tag ought to be pretty short. I can't speak about today, but years back, there was a thread about requesting personalized forum tags because regular forum Mods didn't have that ability. Personally, yes, I do consider this kind of thing petty but it is an abuse of power. Somebody needs that power taken away.

Dude, (don't get offended, I tend to call everybody dude-not a gender thing) if there is no log of Administrative actions on the site, that kind of puts you in a predicament. All it takes is one member of staff to tarnish the reputation of everyone. I would suggest to you, if there isn't one now, that a policy be initiated that all Administration actions be documented. No, I am not suggesting that such logs be made available to those of us with just member access.

That's good because frankly, I don't want to know. I don't want to know your identity, the identity of any member of staff, or anything else that I shouldn't know as a 'regular' member. Y'all need to discuss such things among you as staff but that's exactly where that kind of thing needs to end.
It is my personal opinion that Mod 3 should not have been discussing any forum member with other forum members. Especially if such discussions have been to accuse forum members of a) scamming money from folks via the internet and b) threatening civil litigation against the site. If you've got a member of forum staff that is willing to lie about forum members to other forum members, it's time for that staff member's privileges to go. I don't care if she considers herself on strike, taking a time out, been hospitalized, or anything else.

I don't know what to tell you. I really don't. I think this site has some decisions to make about member confidentiality. Granted, the stuff she was whispering to other members of this forum about me weren't true but if her lips were so fast and loose, that's not a good proposition for me. I don't know where Mod 3 sits on the food chain compared to you but I would suggest to you that there is a higher authority. This might be the time to utilize it.
