I think that even the first person to answer Christian should be considered brave. My guess is that the first person to answer christian was taking a shot that the shooter was looking for jews to kill.

I'm reminded of a similar incident in the 1970s. A rabidly zionist student climbed to the top of the science building and started firing at anyone that looked middle eastern. The captain of the rifle team opened the armory and students had the sniper pinned down when the sheriff arrived. The armed students kept his attention while deputies came up the stairwell and hit the sniper with multiple bean bag rounds. One nut job transported to the hospital and no one killed. It is a good thing that campuses are safer today with total gun bans on campus.

"Mexico’s Secretary of Interior noted that in Colombia, for example, there are 30 homicides per resident, and that in some Central American countries that figure is higher, reaching 40 homicides per resident."
