bama, I confess, I don't know why you even talk with the guy...

its reminiscent of the mad hatter...

[image][/image]
Because he continually attacks me even when he knows I have him on hide.
Besides, the more he talks the more he shows what a nut he is.
I don't have Domken to use as an example of left wing stupidity so I use him.

Dude, DomKen was much more intelligent and educated then you are right now. He understand the firearm problem in America like any other sane, educated, and reasonable person. The people that do not see the problems of firearms in this nation generally are immature, uneducated, and not very intelligent individuals. There is much in the way of good firearms laws that would go a long way to restoring firearm ownership by private citizens as a good thing.

The reason for those firearm laws? Lack of trust by citizens. Your political viewpoints and those of conservatives have created this lack of trust. Its one thing to not trust the government; its quite another when your distrust extends to all other fellow Americans. You are aware that your fellow Americans work in that government you distrust so much? An that you not only distrust them in their day job but in their private life as well! You demand people give unconditional trust with a firearm to you while stating you do not trust them at all. Sorry, trust is a two way street. Your political party has either forgotten that concept, or never learned it.

An there are now many more Americans whom are more distrusting of firearm owners than just forty-eight hours ago. Every such shooting. Be it just one person or on a large scale; brings more Americans over to the side of 'lets have better firearm laws' side of the political argument. The more belligerent, arrogant, and yes, threatening your side becomes; the more likely Americans will just say 'fuck it', and revoke the 2nd amendment.

I have been stating for a while now, that maybe, just maybe, we should try steering this nation towards a better path than the one its on with regards to firearms. You and others have done everything you can think on to stall or stop such a change in national dynamics. Your afraid I want to ban firearms. Which I dont. But because of the 'lack of trust' in this nation among individual Americans; you'll never believe me! I understand what sort of things will happen if this nation revokes the 2nd amendment. Its no better than if we allow firearms to flourish easier in society.

It would be politically dumb for the GOP/TP to make this a wedge issue in the 2016 election. Its like being anti-gay marriage in 2008. What has happen to that stance in 2015? It was destroyed. The good people of American won out over the selfish assholes.

Aylee -> RE: Umpqua mass shooting (10/2/2015 12:38:55 PM)

Christians are being targeted?

Obama and the twit's solution:

DISARM THEM!!!!!

Hmm. . . the shooter was mixed race. . . wonder if Obama is going to mention in his next speech that, "If I had a son, he would look just like the shooter"?

I already pointed out that my asking if he was gay was not related to him being in theator.

Yes, I noticed that you asked about his "gayness" just after you asked about his affiliation with the theater.

Information that has since come out indicating that he was more likely just another wacko atheist ridding the world of Christians.

Why do you feel that athiest want to kill christians? It would make more sense that the shooter would be of a competing religion seeking market share.

NO I DON'T THINK ALL ATHEIST ARE WACKO KILLERS BUT WACKOS WHO ARE ATHIEST WOULD SEE CHRISTIANS AS AN ENEMY TO BE KILLED, BECAUSE THEY ARE WACKO, NOT BECAUSE THEY ARE ATHEIST.

And yet you feel compelled to shout at the top of your lungs that it would be an athiest wacko as opposed to say??? a christian wacko

blnymph -> RE: Umpqua mass shooting (10/2/2015 1:04:44 PM)

Does it matter who is targeted and "why"??

Yes. It helps to bring understanding to why this evil occurred. Many people are not comfortable with the idea that the universe is just chaotic and things "just happen" with no rhyme or reason.

Who was targeted and why can help to explain motive.

If a bridge collapses, wouldn't you want to know "why"? Or are you comfortable with it forever remaining a mystery because "these thing just happen"?

Only in trying to understand what happened.

He made it clear, in his postings that he was not in a competing religion but, like you, hated all religions.
I put it in caps in the vain hope that you could comprehend it.
However you had decided what I was going to say in advance so it didn't matter what I actually said.

JVoV -> RE: Umpqua mass shooting (10/2/2015 2:38:19 PM)

I haven't read anything regarding the shooter's religion or sexuality yet.

He may have asked victims what their religion was, but he seemed to shoot indiscriminately.

He is listed as a tech on a play at the school. That's the only link the media had found between him and the school at that point.

Domken was a fool who could tell the difference between horsing around with his brother and being attacked by a thug. He believed in the kryptonian therory of criminals, and if you weren't bleeding you couldn't defend yourself..
I am appaled that even you think that represented wisdom.
There was an army verteran there who got shot 7 times trying to take this guy down without weapons, if it were not a gun free zone he could have saved lifes. None of your arguments work against him he was trained, and when the guy started shooting he turned the school into a combat zone. Another veteran was outside and armed and the (unarmed) security guard ran him off because the sanctity of a gun free zone seems to have been more important than peoples lives.
Enjoy 9 more dead people, it won't get a repeal of the 2nd.
If you wanted a senseble path you would join with people like me and Kirata and push for laws that attack the criminals including enforcing the laws we have and increasing the penalties for misused of firearms. But no, you want to attack legitimate gun owners do to your apparent devotion to trickle down crime fighting. Why pass a law to hurt criminals when you can pass one against the people who would follow the law.

Well, of course. It is about control, not about saving lives.

mnottertail -> RE: Umpqua mass shooting (10/2/2015 2:48:07 PM)

if thats the case, then we can background check the 40% of people who buy guns off the record. That is a quick reduction, to insure they are not convicts, mentally disturbed, are of our citizenry, and so on.

It is sad that the people like Joe can't see that. Of course since he has stated that you and I among others should let the government do our thinking for us.

Another phonie stat, and one that is made up.
If they buy them off the record how could you possibly know how many there are? They don't so they just make up a number. Also the people like Obama who spout this are
A rounding up
B know that the vast majority are transfers between family members.

Come back when you have something to say that isn't totally bogus.

FR

I love pizza. I love random kindness. I love quirky traditions.

But damn, I hope this one soon grows obsolete!

The continuous string of mass shootings in the United States has created the pizza tradition among hospitals forced to deal with the aftermath of gun violence. “Our ER director sent them directly. Its really touching for the staff but its sad that different facilities keep paying it forward because it's a shame this keeps happening,” Daryl Cetnar, spokesman of the Lafayette hospital, told Newsweek after the pizzas were delivered to the Oregon medical center.

Bama, just out of curiosity, how would you 'increase the penalty' when the shooter is already dead?

Then his contact with the school is tenuous at best.
During the shootings he made a number of anti religious statements, and he had posted them online. His online name indicated that he was a Hitler fan.

Of subject and from a different thread, you had said that a cop and suspect shot each other in your area. How are they?
