Master96,

We were watching CNN last night in bed who were reporting from the front lines in Lebanon. I said to beth that it wouldn't surprise me if all of a sudden there was a blinding flash of light which burned out the TV screen.

We both wouldn't be surprised if this went nuclear. Who would lob the first volley is immaterial. I doubt anyone will be able to put that Gennie back in the lamp.

Someone, I wish I could remember who, once said; "I don't know how World War III will be fought, but I'm positive World War IV will be fought with stones and pointed sticks."

I think that it has bordered on world war III for many decades. I think that when we invaded Iraq we set something in motion that is will be nearly impossible to reverse. I think that it will have a devastating impact on our economy, and perhaps we may see more violence on our shores before it is worked out over there. We will not escape the carnage... so the person that said Ha Ha ha... when you are spending 10 bucks a gallon for gas i wonder how arrogant you will be then. People that laugh at the suffering of others usually get whats coming to them sooner or later... peace

Yes, civilians being killed in indiscriminate rocket attacks and air strikes is always a knee-slapper.

Oh like life is of any value there?!
They wanted to "push the jews back in the sea" for a very long time, Israel got sick of taking it up the ass.
I feel bad for the Isrelis, thats about it.

Why don't you fly over there and sak them if their lives are worth living?  Since there hasn't been mass suicides and there is still people left to fight I think they think they are.

Just because life doesn't measure up to your standards doesn't mean it doesn't measure up to theirs.

They?  How sad.  "They" is what is wrong with the world....
When an innocent person who does not agree with the bloodshed created by the country he or she resides in dies.... simply because he or she is part of "they";  that is something that has no value

Israel is finally doing what they should have been allowed to do along time ago, destroy their enemies. Hezbolah and Hamas have stated over and over that the destruction of Israel is their ultimate goal. You can't negotiate with people who don't even want you to exist. This has been proven time and time again as Israel has given concessions to no avail. There is a simple solution to ending the violence in The Mideast. Stop attacking Israel. Simple. Anyone who thinks that Hamas or Hezbolah will do that without being forced to though, is dreaming.

Israel have scuppered the peace plan everytime with extra-judicial executions, appropriating Palastinian land, redirecting Palastinian water supplies to Israeli farms and sttlements and collective punishment. All criminal acts under international law, though I admit the idea of international law is a joke. The Palastinians have been fools for responding to provocation but terrorism was what put their cause on the map otherwise the wider world wouldn't have heard of their plight.

While I defend Israel's right to exist, I equally defend Palastinians right to a homeland and that means Israel has obligations since much of Israel is built on land appropriated by Israelis.

European guilt over the holocaust has kept them from saying much but with USA's unreserved support and bank rolling of Israel and Europe's silence while crimes are committed, is it any wonder the average Arab thinks the west is hypocritical when it talks about civilisation, freedom and justice?

Israel has been bombing innocent people for a long time, in addition to their collective punishments, they have bull dozed entire families in their homes. I have no regard for Hamas either, or Hezbolah.. But this onesided view of HUMAN suffering is the reason it exists at all. All people have the right to justice, not just Israelis, and until they realize this they will be surrounded by enemies.

Im sick and tired of the killing of innocent children and those who would devalue their lives for some nationalistic bullshit. We all bleed red for crying out loud. An Israeli is no more valuable to me than an American, an American no more valuable to me than a Mexican, a Mexican no more valuable to me than a Palestinian..

I know that. I live just next to Israel. What I meant is… Why Israel is existed? Why America invaded Iraq? Why there is an annual convention in Canada by Native Americans; asking to end the colonization. Why Europeans colonized Africa? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why?   Master96,

Please stop.  You're going to shatter the illusions of those people who think Israel is an innocent victim in all of this.

Awww for the children!!! Thats so cute Remmber when they had that picture go around the world with the father holding his dead 5 year old child shot by "evil zionists" too bad when they dug out the bullet it was a 7.62 Ak bullet fired by Palestenian terrorists. Palestenians use their own people as cover. Bulldozing families? Yeah If you mean by a family a sniper nest sure.

Do you have to be the size of the American Empire to have rights?
