I completely understand your feeling of vindication. However, these guys haven't been tried yet, so it's not a guarantee they are guilty.

Plus, the investigation is likely far from over. So, Snyder might still get his named called. IMO, it's better to find out how it all shakes out now that people are being charged. You're sweet vindication might be crushed if those guys aren't found guilty.

I read the logs of the test results - and I can tell you - regardless of whether they are found guilty or not - they are guilty. I fully expect that there will be more charges - in my estimation at least a dozen people ought to go to jail on this. But I don't think it will go that far. The democrat EPA person in charge, for example, in my mind clearly participated in the coverup - and should be charged.

But it would be a difficult case to prove, as you could expect heavy interference from the feds, and the O.A.

I'm torn about these poor schmucks - on the one hand they got caught in a political shit storm. The only reason they are charged at all was because democrats tried to make this a political issue.

On the other hand - they poisoned people. So, in balance - throw the book at them. In my opinion they ought to throw the book at every mayor, but especially at every Flint water employee that had anything to do with this.

Actuallly, MITT Romney was Governor of Massachusetts, but GEORGE Romney (Mitt's father) was Governor of Michigan.

I understand all that, Phydeaux. But, if you're going to continue the partisan slant, the left will claim the right to continue it, too. I know it wasn't you that made this partisan, but you're not helping to make it any less partisan. Once the investigation is complete, maybe then you'll be able to slap the partisanship out of some people (doubt it), but we'll be able to support justice be done, regardless of political affiliation of the accused.

For the record - I have no objection if snyder did something wrong that he be tried. I just haven't seen anything.
I don't think its partisan to point out that flint has been ruled as a democratic fiefdom for 41 years. I think these kind of facts HAVE to be pointed out. Else people will never hear it, never learn who was responsible for poisoning them.

I'm not doing more homework for you than I already have. Google your own links.

As for Flint...

This is exactly what so frustrates me about liberals. People have freaking lead pipes, and lead solder. They have had for 60 years. More than 20,000 people. Somehow you think that will magicly get fixed in one?

Not to mention - it isn't the governments job to pay for fixing your pipes. You bought the house - you pay for it. That said, of course I would be willing to help poor people.

But I repeat the same stastic I reported on earlier. More than 1500 houses had their lead pipes etc removed under the current administration - more than any other year ever.

As for the rest of it. Flint is applying phosphate - which will cause scale in the pipes, which will cut the lead leaching down. And theoretically, they are applying ph controls, and they switched to detroit water.

What the hell else do you want or expect them to do?

that's a really good question. According to Clinton if it had happened to a rich suburb of Detroit, the problem would have been fixed yesterday. She then claimed to be the only one who cared and promised she was going to make sure things were fixed. Then MI had their primary and she suddenly lost interest. What a surprise.
