I would have to say Trump's most redeeming quality is the ability to speak his mind. This does NOT include insulting and name calling. I think he does say what people want to hear and agree with Rubio saying he's a con artist. The only republican I remotely liked was the soft spoken Ben Carson. I don't care much for Ted Cruz, he's to tea party for me. He was partly responsible for the last government shutdown. He wasn't even born in the US, he was born in Canada. True this is an old, antiquated law just to prevent any Brit from becoming president after the Revolutionary War. But, as far as I know, is still the law.

Let me just say this, I don't trust Hillary Clinton, but I trust Trump even less. Maybe I shouldn't even vote...........

the poverty line in Singapore would be someone who earns less than S$1,500 every month.

Thompson, because you are completely ignorant about Singapore.

You are the one who told us that hardly anyone gets cained in singapore yet the record shows more than 2000 cainings a year.
You are the one who told us that singaporeans own there own homes when the fact is that it a lease.
You are the one who has been shown time and time again to know nothing about singapore.

I earned 1500 when I first started working, was living under my own roof. Despite that pathetic salary, I managed to own my own roof, never starve, and live pretty comfortably, all basic necessities taken care of.

That is a lie.1500@month for 12 months = 18,000 per year.in ten years that is 180,000. You claim to own a car and take vacations around the world. Those of us who can do the math now that what you are saying does not add up.

Currently because I have fully paid for my own roof. I am able to survive on a merely 12,000 per annum,

1500 per month is 18,000 a year not 12,000

if I am frugal and still eat and live very well and save the rest of my money.

Only in la la land.

Below poverty is earning below $1500, which is exactly why, in Singapore , below poverty line means being unable to afford the latest Iphone. That's what it means here.

To use that as something to insult our country is ridiculous.

Whereas in the US, below poverty line means, having not enough food to eat everyday and not having a roof.

I have given you links to the homeless in singapore and you say that that is a health choice????[8|]

I cannot imagine anybody in Singapore genuinely not having a roof in Singapore.

Perhaps that is because google is the closest you have ever been to singapore?

While we have old people that sleep outdoors.

That is called being homeless

Thompson, you are so dumb about Singapore, that I can't be bothered to enlighten you. I hope you find a Singaporean where you stay and ask them and look like an idiot.

I said when I first started work, I made 1500, and with 1500, I was able to rent my own room, most Singaporeans live with parents, so they stay rent free, 1500 is pure spending money, in Singapore, especially Asian culture, when you live with parents, you do not have to contribute financially to your parents to the household at all, and on top of that, parents pays 100% for your university education, so you have no student debt to worry about, that's our culture. That's the parents job to house you, feed you until you marry. So many who makes 1500 were not poor, but I moved out and rent my own room to live on my own, but I still survived comfortable, never starved, had my basic, roof, food and clothes. I just can't afford the latest iphone at that salary, and I definitely can't afford a car at that salary.

I've been working for 15 years now. Clearly my salary is way beyond 1500 a month now. When I earned 1500 a month, I couldn't afford a car. As my salary increases, and with own financial planning, yes, I own my own 1 room, 1 hall flat now, it's tiny but it belongs to me and I bought a car when the COE dropped to rock bottom. In Singapore, majority buildings are on 99 years leasehold. Even private ones. So you do own it, even though it's a leasehold. You own it for 99 years.

Yea, because we top the world in Math and Science, and not English, so what's your point?
And I was educated only until 12 yr old, for English, then my education stopped completely. I don't even have the equivalent of a high school diploma. I'm considered an extremely lowly educated person in Singapore with zero paper qualifications for anything. I would be like at the bottom of the barrel for paper smarts in my country. This is how good Singapore education is. This is my 12 yr old English. And I think it's pretty good for 12 yr olds.

Yep that's about it. It's easy to speak your mind when your mind is nothing but a windsock pointing wherever the wind is blowing at the moment. Trump doesn't so much speak his mind as say whatever he thinks is going to get him votes. He doesn't believe in much of anything except himself, so he can say whatever he wants and without having to worry about going against his value system - because it doesn't exist.

Frankly, this is why Sanders, Cruz and Rubio are having trouble against the pair of ciphers that are leading the tickets. Sanders, Cruz and Rubio all have value sets and ideological beliefs. This prevents them from being on both sides of at least the major questions facing them. Neither Clinton nor Trump have values to speak of, beyond what will enrich them the most. Trump and Clinton are the insult to the intelligence of the people who support them. The poor morons supporting those two just project their own values on The Donald and Herself and both candidates do everything in their power to let them think what they want.

I read an article recently that, amongst other things, compared Trump to Mussolini. (Apparently that comparison is becoming increasingly common.) The gist of it was that we shouldn't be looking at Trump's 'policies', if indeed he has any, because that is *fundamentally not the point of his appeal*. His appeal to voters is in his being able to set himself up as a figurehead, invoking images of a fine and proud leader. It's all *deliberately* vague. It's not about appealing to reason, but to emotion. Trump simply wants to say: 'You are *great*. You, and what you believe in, are what will make the USA *great*'.

If Trump has one, brilliant and unrivalled technique, it's this: that he knows what his audience wants to hear, and gives them it, every time. But the key thing is that he's able to give them what they want to hear *without* looking like a vacillating and unprincipled marketeer. In effect his bottom line, every time, is 'Hey, others don't have the guts to agree with you. I do! I am not like other politicians - I am fearlessly agreeing with you!'

I recently read an article written in the 20's, republished currently, about Hitler...nothing was said but, it was clear....it was to scorn you as to voting for Trump.

And....everything in the article....written in the 20's....about Hitler....was derived to make you think that Trump is the current equivalent.

Hitler....then, was excoriating Jews.

Some say Trump is doing the same as to Muslims.

Hitler, then was saying....Jews should be defiled.

Trump is saying "until we know.....etc...."

Seems fairly basic.

Hitler was a fucking maniac.

Jews had done NOTHING horrible. NO ONE was worried that Jewish folks would eviscerate the population. They were breeding financial growth. They were the ONLY group that was.

Jews were not bombing the streets with nail vests.

And Trump isn't asking for anyone to paint an "M" on doors.

(Get over it).

Seems like Trump being all over the map on issues makes it easy for people to interpret his words as what they want to hear.

People who likes Trump doesn't care for a dignified stately President. They want someone who is gonna fight relentlessly to get things done. Push things through. Get people to work together.

No sleazy BS and flowery speeches. Like Mittens has all the grace and stateliness, but he made my skin crawl. I think alot of people are feeling embarrassed about the possibility of Trump as President because of his un-refined behaviour. I would say, "Unrefined political behaviour". But I don't know if you ever hired someone, despite that person having some serious social skills issues. But he is so efficient and gets things done so well, so you keep him anyway, even though, his pissing everybody off with his attitude. I guess this is that kind of thing.

And I am also "The end justify the means" type of person. I don't care what goes on in between, as long as the goal gets done.

But if Kasich was getting votes, I like him alot too. He makes alot of sense too. But no point rooting for him, his hopeless.

You havent the abillity to enlighten anything without a kleg light.

I hope you find a Singaporean where you stay and ask them and look like an idiot.

Most, means one more than half. Since you cannot do sums perhaps you could get a grown up to point out that one more than half of the population of singapore who live with their parents (plural parents means more than one)This means you have just increased the population of singapore by 25% without anyone having sex.[8|]

so they stay rent free, 1500 is pure spending money, in Singapore, especially Asian culture, when you live with parents,

How many cultures exist in that third world shithole called singapore?

you do not have to contribute financially to your parents to the household at all,

This would be your ignorant unsubstantiated opinion.

and on top of that, parents pays 100% for your university education, so you have no student debt to worry about, that's our culture.

At present, undergraduate education at NUS is highly subsidized by the Government of Singapore, which pays for the bulk of the operating costs besides the infrastructural costs.

The official singapore government cites I posted say that is not mathamatically possible.
