In the past, I've had it actually used as a punishment, and after some time, it really starts to get beyond frustration. But I've never asked for it. Well, not intentionally.

I can't speak for most men, but for me it is actually more of a distraction, after a period of time.  Chastity works well for the first few days, as it is a constant reminder to me of the power exchange.  And an increased sexual desire leads to an increase in a desire to submit... BUT, after a certain point it becomes quite distracting and my focus becomes less on serving and more on trying to satisfy the base desire and get back to a point where i can concentrate better on serving her. 

Enforced chastity, orgasm denial and sexual restrictions are usually not imposed upon female submissive, so this issue may be almost exclusively a male submissive area.  I know (giggle) that this is not necesarily the appropriate forum to ask about enforced female chastity, but what do women think about it being imposed upon them?  Do they find that prolonged arousal and chastity to be an effective tool that affects their desire to serve?  Obviously a dominant woman is probably > not < going to deny herself pleasure, but perhaps you have talked to friends who have had this done to them?

You are incorrect in that assumption.  Many dominants choose to sexually restrict (could be under or overuse), deny orgasms, regulate when/where/why/how a female slave can get off and if they are not in a direct sexual relationship with them, often do enforce some sort of masturbatory and sexual regulations.

This made me smile since I keep hearing about the amazing difference in the Domme/male sub/slave ratio. I am thinking......"good luck dude!"
From all the whining on the male sub/slave side I read I think that most guys would stick it out thru the chastity in hopes there will be a light at the end of the tunnel. Most of these guys haven't even found the ahhhhhh "tunnel" yet.

Case in point right here! And I for sure know I'm not the only one, in fact from discussions I have with other Doms it is the majority..... unless its simply the like minded folks I happen to talk to.

Whatever She wants.
 
It's certainly a sadistic and fun game to play.  I like to see how far I can take a man.  What limits can I strip from him?  What will he offer up?  How depraved and twisted can I force him to be?  How long can he stand it? 
 
Of course the effectiveness is different for every man, but for the most part being on a 14-21 day release schedule with some variation for rewards or mood fluctuations have always worked wonders.

For me, it's a control thing.  My subs give up their personal control to me, including the luxury of being able to come whenever they want to.  Denial keeps them mindful of their place, and of their obedience.  Knowning that orgasm is a possible reward encourages them to good behavior.

Status: offline 		i have to admit that for a day or even 2 it is exquisite torture to be put in chastity by a Domme who holds the key.  Particularly if She uses me to please Her orally while i am denied.  However after second day it just becomes tremendously frustrating.  Also if i belong to a Domme, i am unable to cum without Her permission so it is rather redundant.

Perhaps you are correct MisPandora.  Not being a person with female subs/slaves I based my statement on the types of ads (and talking with others in the local scene) put forth by male dominants (and female subs).  On the surface it appears that sexual abstinence is practiced on male submissives, while the reverse is for females.  From what I have seen/heard, females are wanted for sex at a far higher rate/percentage than men.

As to the chastity part in general, I love the look of chastity belts on women.  They are much more, ah, 'streamlined' than they are on men!  :)  I've also heard that chastity is less effective on women since they have the ability to have an orgasm with less physical stimulation than men.  Though I do not know how much of that is urban legend.
