Define public school. In the old days the members of a community would send a letter to some state with a college and hire up a schoolteacher. They built a schoolhouse and paid the teacher to teach. Sometimes it was one room, now try teaching 1st grade, 2nd grade, 3rd grad 4th grade... all at the same time. Actually I think the younger kids got more out of it.

But the federal government had absolutely nothing to do with it, and kids got accepted to colleges "out east" and became doctors and inventors and whatever. The ones who didn't make it somehow tended the farm I guess. but some were not dumb as a box of rocks, started businesses n shit. Factories springing up everywhere, learn to read a micrometer and work a lathe or something. They weren't electric, they ran off a big shaft near the roof that drove belts that turned the lathe head, and that was off of a steam engine. Skills mattered.

A different time.

A different time indeed...one you never experienced.

Got any more ? We average like what, ten a year now ? Wasn't like that in 1966 when half of us (at least people I knew) had a gun in the glove box of the car. Fuck, it was almost like standard equipment.

Only for gangsters and assorted punks.

I shall go with the most literal meaning. Telling someone to stop talking, is telling them to stop speaking. Thus is against Freedom of Speech.

Team trumph does not seem to have any problems silencing opposition.

How did they silence the opposition? Trump has put himself infront of all the hateful libs interviewer and taken them head on. That's pretty respectful of freedom of speech. Allowing them to mock him to his face.

Unlike Hillary who keeps hiding away from Fox News and now running away from debating in her own town.

Then clearly you don't know what you are talking about (surprise ! Surprise ! Surprise! {with a bad Carolina accent}) every attempt to take guns away has come from the left.

Yes, and they will step on a republican to do it. James Brady got gunshy after getting shot. But he had nothing to do with the Brady bill. Shumer pushed it and Clinton signed it. Brady worked for Reagan.

And now, with just a bit of checking so I know I am not talking shit, I find that Brady's death was ruled a homicide caused by the gunshot, 33 YEARS AFTER THE FACT.

Really, 33 fucking years just to get one more on their statistics ? That is what they do.

People do not realize that cops kill more people in this country than anyone else. So what if alot of them are justified, when we do it you do not discount the ones that are justified. So fuck you liberals and your lying statistics.

Nope. Not today, the cowardly fucking nutsuckers have promised america they will not attend a venue where they cannot exercise their second amendment rights. The cowardly shiteaters word is worth nothing. Nothing.

But I guess you are mixing up nutsuckers with the left. Reagan and Nixon are nutsuckers, and they were bigtime gun grabbers.

Of course it is and was - the liberal area you grew up in doesn't reflect how everyone grew up.
You forget probably, that you could buy thompson machine guns (fully automatic 50 rounds a minute) machine guns - in hardware stores. Sears sold them in its catalogs.

Sears, Montgomery Ward, other mainstream department stores sold guns over the counter. It was sort of a rite of passage for a boy to get his first .22 rifle.
I remember going out shooting when I was around 7.

But then since you can shoot a toe off a gnat at 30 miles, I'm surprised you didn't know that, or have the same experience.

Everybody forgot that, because that was over 80 years ago. Then came Title II, or the NRA gun act.

Sara Brady pushed for the law first but of course Shumer pushed it, he never saw an antigun bill he didn't like.

Did you actually call me a liberal?

Who knew that houston ,texas and newport bch. california were a hotbed of liberalism?

The thompson originally fired 1200 rpm later reduced to 800 rpm. The navy ordered some that would fire at 600 rpm but no dumbass they did not fire 50 rpm.
Jesus you are phoquing stupid.

What is your point. You did not buy the gun because they would not sell a gun to a child dumbass.

No. I had no intention of calling YOU a liberal. But they were probably reading so I threw it in. Sorry for the confusion.
