(Sorry for the hint of wise crack there. It's not directed at you. It's directed at the doofus who put this crap on youtube.) On this thread, there have been folks saying that perverts will do this or perverts will do that if those who identify (and that's a really important word in this debate) as the gender that they are transitioning into use the facilities that correspond to how they present. Like these simple ordinances are going to make all of the difference in the world and it's just the chance people are waiting for. I don't have the belief that a misdemeanor is what is holding people back.

But I agree, it's not exactly a scientific experiment and Joey Salads is trying to be humorous and maybe somewhat sensational.with his YouTube videos. However, as far as the perverts go, and I could be wrong, these bathroom policies seem like they might open up a whole new opportunity for some of these guys thinking they will be able to get away with some of their crap. I do kind of feel for the trans people and even cross dressers trying to find a place to relieve themselves. I've been in that situation and it's a real inconvenience.

It isn't the trans that will be the problem, it is the people who will use them for cover.

<Fast Reply> For a very long time, I have been an opponent of legalizing BDSM. My reason for it has been thus: Actual proponents of DV will use this as an excuse to evade the law. Unlike this debate, I base this assertion on what we KNOW already. The reason we have 'no report' laws now is because victims of violence were told what to say by the perpetrator. "It's just consensual BDSM" is the same thing as, it's just a disagreement, or a family matter, or whatever. But, we don't have that here. So far, NOBODY has been able to establish a case in North Carolina that says this. Not one case on the books. What do we think? What do we know? What can we prove?
