New dating scam? Been around the block?

I can’t be bothered searching all sites toc so here is an extract from bondage.com Persons appearing in photographs may not be actual members. Other data for illustrative purposes only.

Alt.com which incidentally now owns the above site which used to be free site. Join that site they will spam you fake messages from their team operating fake profiles, like Ashley Madison (google it), till you part with their cash (I forget what their TOC said) but they reserve the right to also spam a message from active members to you. and they have no knowledge of this.

Anyhoo. Most of these sites are run by the same companies (match ->okcupid->pof)and they like the taste of cash and do not give a flying fuk about you, nor how many fake, scam, ghost profiles, it takes for you to part with your cash.

OKCupid Pulls Article About Why You Should Never Pay For Online Dating in Wake of Match.com Sale

Ashley Madison targeted older users when sending messages from fake profiles and made sure one in 20 members in certain areas were not real people, according to emails allegedly sent between the website's executives.
According to messages shown to the Daily Mail Online, the 'have an affair' network supposedly 'blasted' more senior subscribers in a bid to improve their revenue.
They would also increase the number of 'engager' profiles - sometimes known as Ashley Angels - in certain areas to up to five per cent if there weren't enough.
The latest allegations come after Daily Mail Online revealed statistics uncovered by the data scientist claiming the cheating website created 40,000 'bots' - or fake members - with just six email addresses, and doubled monthly revenue in the process.

If true, it means Ashley Madison operated a wide-ranging scheme that deceived new members into paying up to $290 for women that didn't actually exist.

etc

This also explain why there are so many fake women profiles everywhere and they get away with utter shit, thievery and appalling malarkey online(and some of the genuine ones). No women on any sites = no men = no revenue/ad stream

"engager & ashley angels" I think in that case they mean scamming crooked kunts

Stick to free sites, not that there are many.

If I remember right, he's 18 or 19. Anything that seems like a good idea to the little head is going to fly with such a one. That should change when he hits 40 or so. Ummm, maybe.

So i've been around the block. I've learned my lessons the hard way. I've lost a lot of money by being scammed. But i'm wiser now.

BUT there is a new scam going on and i'm here to WARN YOU ALL!!

I joined several "BDSM DATING" sites. I mean, I paid money for a subscription because everything look promising.
Well, all the women are BOTS!! there is not one real woman on those sites.
I would link these sites to u but i'm sure its against regs.

SO BEWARE WHEN YOU JOIN THOSE BDSM DATING SITES!
YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED.

Wasn't the original post different? Like completely different? While adding more 'advice' is fine via edit, it's kind of misleading to edit your original advice out all together because that's what everyone responded to.

yea we definitely do! So many people are getting scammed! I wish those dirty crooks would just go away!

Probably the safest dating site is Fetlife.

Today's lesson; Stop paying them, and then they will.

You see it's called supply/demand. Because whilst ever there are idiots willing to pay them, well now it's rather self explanatory after that eh?

If you think Fet is any safer than anywhere else on the 'net then your Mum needs to give you a smack up the back of the head!

Fetlife.com is ~not~ a dating site. It's a kinky social network. Think of it as a twisted Facebook.

this dude is still a kid, no wonder he got scammed he's barely an adult, he's thinking with his cock and not his head so he keeps falling for it time and again. He should also know there are tonnes of scammers on fetlife as well.

I really don't understand how ANYONE can get scammed online.

Keep your wallet in your purse/pocket when your fingers are on the keyboard.

If you do that, how can you get scammed?

How is it possible?

LilJuly76 -> RE: NEW BDSM Scam! BEWARE! (5/13/2016 5:12:49 AM)

I don't know ask him he keeps falling for it

needlesandpins -> RE: NEW BDSM Scam! BEWARE! (5/13/2016 5:51:19 AM)

My son is coming up 22 and I've taught him that if you can get it for free you don't pay for it. If it's to do with your cock you protect it, if she says no at any time then it's not yours to play with, if you're messing about online and she's the hottest thing you've ever seen then chances are she's another dude unless you're both on cam, if you've got to pay for that then click away from that crap. It's not rocket science, it's bad parenting, and a desperate penis with too much money. Take note that you never see women in here with this nonsense.

It kinda speaks for itself.

whitebottomboy -> RE: NEW BDSM Scam! BEWARE! (5/13/2016 8:12:03 AM)

Methinks you are all being a bit hard on the OP.

I did not see his original post, but it isn't naïve to think highly-touted dating sites are scams. Rather, it is naïve to assume everyone should just know Alt.com is a scam.

When one tries to do research on the "best" sites related to kink, BDSM, etc. they find a great many lists and articles on the subject, ALL of which list Alt.com as the tried and true leader in the world of alternative lifestyle dating. And that site is listed right along with CollarSpace and FetLife, among others.

Some of these are legit articles on actual news outlet sites, written by clueless staff writers. But many must be plants by the crooks who own Alt.com. It does not take THAT long to figure out Alt.com is a scam top to bottom, but no one actually publicizes it.

As with many people just trying to find their way, I joined Alt.com to see what it was like. Afterall, they had bought and absorbed Bondage.com, which once had a thriving chat community.

I knew there would be troll messages from women who do not actually exist, as there are on every dating site, including CollarSpace, where I encountered two fake profiles just today.

What immediately clued me into Alt.com was a complete scam was the fact they do not even include the ability to say one is seeking a dominant partner or a submissive one, and their "experts" kept "matching" me to submissives even though my own orientation was set as submissive. How can they claim to even BE a BDSM site if you cannot stipulate your Dom/sub orientation when being matched?

Other sites like FemDomdating.com keep sending me photos of the fashion models who visited my profile, followed by a notice that someone just left me a message, which I cannot read or even see my inbox contents without paying them lots of money. Are there really that many 50 year old men stupid enough to assume 24 year old hotties are interested in him?

One recent site, which may or may not have some validity are MyBDSMWorld, which does seem to have interest in becoming an actual community, but does me the favor of randomly matching me to other members, usually male and submissive when I make clear I am straight and looking for a Domme. Perhaps they are just trying to get people to friend each other?

And just today I learned about BDSMMatch, which one of the current CollarSpace trolls called comeheresissyboy is trying to channel users to via the link KINKYDEJT.COM, which actually goes to BDSMMatch. I have not joined that site, as it is probably Alt.com at it again. But maybe not.

So it takes some time until people realize that FetLife and CollarSpace appear to be the only truly useful community sites. But since many men have no luck meeting anyone or even getting people to talk to them on either site, we shall continue to look elsewhere.

Not that there aren't other sites that are not set up as scams.

iPunishment is a spanking community, but unfortunately is worthless for dating, as there is no way to search for anyone, other than getting a list of all Females or all Males listed alphabetically, no way to know who actually still frequents the site etc.

Spanko.com has a legit community of chatters, but the owner is a crook. First he turned it into a porn video site and then expected the users to pay for the bandwidth. And as of 2016 users who paid for a LIFETIME membership were blocked in unless they pay a $20 a year fee. This is basically extortion and fraud, since we paid for LIFETIME membership. But no one seems willing to report him to Paypal to get his account shutdown.

It gets depressing to go to the Fetlife personals and see all those men of all ages hopeful in their search for some real connection with someone interested in more than emptying his wallet, who will never connect with anyone. It is not so depressing here, since I only see the Dommes and Switches in my age range, even if few of them even reply to my polite inquiries.

MizzSpitfire -> RE: NEW BDSM Scam! BEWARE! (5/13/2016 8:19:46 AM)

Dude, Fetlife isn't a dating site. It's a social networking site, similar to Facebook. It's a source of information, not ass.

needlesandpins -> RE: NEW BDSM Scam! BEWARE! (5/13/2016 8:31:03 AM)

No we are not. What it boils down to is that we are a totally different entity to the other side, and always there is some cockwomble that comes along telling us that we all need to be careful of this new scam whereby you get conned out of your cash instead of getting your end away as expected.

It takes no amount of genius to know that this is not how life works, and that if you have been told this once then the last thing you do is come back to the very same forum and do it all again. Especially whilst then claiming that so very many people are getting conned. No, they're not, it's just a select few males too daft to remember that big red warning that CS already has telling them not to part with their cash.

We're not stupid, we don't need telling, but it's here they come running to scream about it. Personally if I'd been that gullible I'd hang my head in shame, and never speak of it to anyone.

I'm not being hard on him, stating a fact he keeps falling for these scam sites.

Shandirra -> RE: NEW BDSM Scam! BEWARE! (5/13/2016 8:48:30 AM)

If you're over majority age and getting taken to the cleaners by scammers, methinks you have bigger problems than bitching about it on a BDSM forum.

Realize this... These kink sites aren't there for you to get your willy fucked or sucked. They're there to prey on your hormones and to pry your cash out. They'll use fake pictures, profiles, videos... whatever it takes. Their sole purpose is to make money off horn dogs. End of story.

Will ya'll just stop with the Save-a-Ho. The kids is putting $ into the economy. Leave him be and let him spend. He obviously has money to burn which is why he can afford the overpriced coffee at Starbucks. He doesn't require getting bang for his bucks so let him spend it.

OP: Keep trying, kid. Wall Street needs you.

Here's a little something to help you replenish your bank balance. [sm=2cents.gif]

The best way to meet real people is to go out and meet them; not stay behind your computer screen.
