That's a very open Mother/son relationship. I don't think I could talk to my kids about that. But mine are all under 10

My son's farther wins no prizes with his son for dad of the year, and he lives literally around the corner from us, so I pull double duty. He's put us through hell. We were close anyway, but that just made us closer, and due to lies that my ex told my son I had to tell him the truth for him to understand what was really going on. My ex's plan backfired on him, but made my life easier, although putting me in a position with my son at the time I would not have chosen to be in.

These days our relationship is very much admired, and envied [:)]

It's always been service first, payment after.
