I think a really big issue is being missed, here.

I know a lot of the more sensitive types like to shout down anyone that disagrees with them and that has turned this thread into a "hate-on-rm-a-thon", but this is a base issue.

I've never been a fan of Crowder as a "source", but I did some checking and in this instance, they got the facts right; not the editorial content.

We are talking about the government fining people for speaking incorrectly . Forget the subject of this particular action (transgenderism). If this is allowed to stand, it's just a start.

Just imagine, if you will, lefties, that NYC was a bastion of far right extremism and they enacted a law that stated that if you don't use the personal pronoun of someone's birth, you could receive these kinds of fines. Just put yourself in that place.

For the "that would never happen" crowd: You may be right, but allowing the government this kind of power means that if the pendulum does swing to that kind of extreme, you might find yourselves on the ass end of this law.

So, forget the particulars. Is this the kind of power government should have?
