Maybe if we weren't so busy with all the special rights all the special snowflakes want, real problems would get more attention.
People want respect but don't give respect. Ya know like using ancient books for toilet paper? Real nice. They used corn cobs too, that might be more up your alley.
Since we are the anything goes country now, I think we should elect for president a pot smoking transgender with a penis who uses the woman's restroom that has not had surgery yet. Better yet, why don't we do away with restrooms all together and put a gender just nuetral toilet in the hallway so we all can be uncomfortable. Equal rights!
[:-]

Having equal rights for everyone is not "special" rights
Asking to be given ANY rights implies that you have the power to give them
Y0u dont, so we are demanding that you stop denying the rights EVERYONE deserves.

1. Ah hello, sorry I don't have the power to deny everyone's rights, so you can throw a fit and demand all you want. Yadda yadda.
2. Number two (no pun intended) you don't live in the us do you? That means you don't get to vote until you do.

You vote dont you? you are voting for trump arent you???
Why??
Because he wants to get rid of the same problems you do...
dense much?

No, you are right I dont live in the US, no I cant vote, I dont need to, I can give my time, money and effort to those people who are making an effort to stop the hate.
I can donate to Planned parenthood, I can donate to various LGBT and other groups fighting for equal right...including women, children, against trafficking, against educate against your ignorance LOl
Oh and I have my voice, which is obviously being heard.

It does explain your butthurt

Why not just have businesses install plumbing in the middle of the store with open air stalls .

You have more faith in business owners than I do. [;)]

In my opinion, nothing has really changed, except what people are trying to make more difficult.

I happen to be a cis-gendered female. Even if I wasn't, I can assure you that I'd be offended if somebody wanted to look under my skirt before I entered the ladies room. How would you feel if someone wanted to check your Johnson before stepping up to the urinal?

If you are going to pass a law opening restrooms up you can pass a law requiring my sugestion.

I will NOT have a 6' 4" N____ with a 10" dick taking a piss right next to my 13 year old niece. If that is allowed in any school her Parents (I am an asshole but I do come from a good family) will take her out of that school. Maybe put her in an all girls school.

But it's okay to have a 15 Y.O. white male force a 12 Y.O. female (of a minority persuasion) to orally gratify him in a gender neutral bathroom in an upscale private school?
Her parents pulled her out and contacted their lawyer. She is currently homeschooled in between therapy sessions.
Yes, I know. Didn't make the headlines.
The question still stands.

Speaking for the rest of us who oppose open restrooms, it is wrong no matter who does it and no matter who the victim is. This case goes to the heart of the opposition.

Termyn8or has the distinction of having allowed Thompsonx to make a reasonable comment, it was bound to happen sometime.

and the idea that seems to be missing in all these conversations is the validity of the premise---that there is such a thing as a female trapped in a males body, or vice versa, to begin with.

which is very much unlike dc's martin luther king jr being actually black, and susan b Anthony's being actually female.

Lucylastic -> RE: 11 States Sue Over Transgender Policy (5/26/2016 4:49:37 PM)

Some people claim they are smart... when they arent..

This is just my thought. (Please don't crucify me for my ideas.)

Most laws that we pass have something to do with people not knowing how to conduct themselves. Often, we've got a lot of people running around *set out to* Harm other people. A part of law is supposed to be about preventing that.

The last time (in the US) that we did something like you are proposing, it was ADA. (Americans with Disabilities Act.) Can we do it about something like this? I don't know.

Are you really prepared to debate gender dysphoria?

I am in no way intending anything I say as attacking you.
Can we do it? Most likely.
Should we do it? No.

No, I didn't think you were. However, in my opinion, this subject has become a royal mess with some people.

"Should" is an interesting word. It's different than "can" as in ability.

I was at Raven's Stadium (otherwise known as M&T Bank stadium) not long back. If they wanted, they could change the facilities. That franchise has more than enough funds.

Should they? Yes.

How many of you have been sexually assaulted by a transperson in a restroom?

Not me, but i have been sexually assaulted by cisgender people (both male and female, both gay and straight) in public (and private, as in in a private home) restrooms.

quote:

How many of your daughters, nieces, lil sisters, etc been exposed by someone's wang in a public toilet?

My daughter is too young yet, I have no sisters, and I never asked my nieces, but none of them has ever mentioned it. But I personally have seen a lot of dicks in public restrooms, however they were all in men's rooms that I was using because the line for the women's room was way too fucking long. I was not traumatized.
I also was not traumatized by going into the men's change room at the pool, with my dad when I was at the age that the sight of a penis is supposedly super traumatic to girls.

One thing has changed. Certain liberals and various groups along with Obama and his stupid directive have pushed this issue and made a big freakin deal over it. Had they left it alone and let schools and businesses deal with it, things would go on as they have been, trans women using the ladies facilities with no one the wiser. Now that it's been blown out of proportion on behalf of an itsy bitsy tiny little fraction of a percent of the population and 11 or so states and counting are suing, there is going to be a whole lot of backlash which can't be a good thing for that tiny fraction.

Not only that but what TDC said. "..........the government and media spend so much time on those piddly little issues, to keep the people divided and fighting about the little shit so that the actual real threats can be kept hidden. "

littleclip -> RE: 11 States Sue Over Transgender Policy (5/26/2016 7:46:37 PM)

lovmuffin i agree if the feds had left it alone it would have been dealt with without the drama. it does distract the public from the military not having enough funds for bullets and housing for soldiers on drill status. the economy is tanking, who cares who uses what bathroom [sm=wtf.gif]

LadyPact -> RE: 11 States Sue Over Transgender Policy (5/26/2016 7:46:40 PM)

With no offense meant...

The trans* community is 3% of our world.

If you don't like our decision, tough. Deal with it.
