ORIGINAL: respectmen Termy, thank Stef for that. I've never seen her post anything relevant or intelligent in discussion for all these years I've observed this forum. Her posts are usually silly one liners, or not if that, pictures. She actually used to be a moderator. Not no mo, but she does have her moments. But I am sure she qualifies under most of the tenets of feminism. We got the physical strength and usually the guns. We bestow rights on others, not the other way round. White Men built half of what is good in this world, despite being a minority. We stole half of what we got, diamonds from South Africa, Cadmium from Bosnia or whatever, Milesovic country, phosphorus from Nam. Next up is gold in Mali. It is coming. T^T Actually Vietnam is rubber, at one time...1/3 of the world's supply. The French actually first went into Vietnam called French Indochina. The First Indochina War began in French Indochina on 19 December 1946 and lasted until 1946. In September 1945, Chinese forces entered Tonkin and a small British task force landed at Saigon. Vietnam was absorbed into French Indochina in stages between 1858 and 1887 with European influence and education. Subsequently, the French were there after WWII to 'give' the Vietnamese a 'good deal' on their rubber. Vietnam supplied rubber to Michelin, currently the largest tire co. in the world. Vietnam is 4th in yield and 5th in the export of rubber. As for gold in Mali. Well as long as the people doing the dangerous work and hard labor of getting that gold out of the ground which is otherwise worthless until then, are not paid too much and almost all of the money go the safe elitist investors, then the world will be much better off. To actually pay the people to do all of the work involved, would be the dreaded socialism and we all know...we can't have that.
