Not so much at BDSM clubs. I've gotten free passes at clubs because I've presented there on a prior occasion and things like that but that's an entirely different situation.
Swinger's clubs/events? Totally different story. Single female, you can absolutely get in free. Couples pricing is usually reduced per person than what a single male will pay. Also, the number of single males permitted is usually limited so the organizer prevents the 'sausage fest' situation. (Bad for the current event. Bad for word of mouth for future events.) Pretty much the same on pricing when you talk about "ladies night" at your local bar. Get the women in, the (het) males will follow.
As a woman, I am more prone to agree that the average female top has a better chance at playing than the average male top for just BDSM (no sexual contact) activities. Female bottoms have a better chance to play than the average male bottom. If we're talking about pick up play, a woman has a much better shot at finding what she's looking for.
