And I cannot believe the callousness of the Judge's statement:
The judge, Aaron Perksy, cited Turner’s age and lack of criminal history as factors in his decision, saying, “A prison sentence would have a severe impact on him … I think he will not be a danger to others.”

It almost feels like Saudi Arabia justice or something. I mean, the judge is more worried that this boy's future will be ruined for life? When he already ruin the girl's future for life?

I can't believe this is even a real sentence!

I believe the judge is practically indirectly saying the girl asked for it, this boy could not help himself, thus should be just given a slap on the wrist.

I hope whatever appeals or petition is going on, can do something to change this bullshit!

This judge is up for re-election and I HOPE he doesn't get re-elected! I hope people's movement will prevail in this!

The stupid boy even dare attempt to say she actually got an orgasm from it! Fucking asshole!

And the fact that his own father is taking this so lightly, we know who educated him and told him, he did nothing wrong.

Rape victims who report rape are so fucking brave.

I cringed that she even has to face the humiliation of having her genitals photographed for evidence. WTF? For me, being photographed nude in any way is like a super hard limit.

That would feel like sexually assaulted twice, except, this is like black mail, like if you want the investigation to get through to convict your aggressor, you gotta suffer through more humiliations.

It was not long ago, but people have a short memory, that a Muslim was let off with probation for statutory rape. It was i the UK, Great Britain I am almost sure, and the reason he gave was that the defendant was raised in a culture that considered females chattel. I guess he just couldn't help himself. The judge gave this Muslim probation for what would land any of us at least ten years in the joint. I wonder if anyone picked up on the fact that the judge was a Stanford alumnus?

This has stunk, from the moment it went public. For a long time, I've been bitching about female teachers getting considerably less time when they behave inappropriately with their charges. My issue was I wanted the ladies to get as much time as male teachers, guilty of the same offenses; not that I wanted males to get less time.

Personally, I think rape is one of the crimes that requires a death sentence, but I guess, that's just the barbarian in me.

I don't know if I would ever want Women busted for rape. Some might like to see it in retribution for some mischarges over the years but in reality, if, like a buddy of mine, you get fucked by your babysitter you are fucking lucky, you brag about it. That is another judge that needs his judging license stripped off him! The next thing he will say is that honour killing is also of their culture. Screw their culture! They move to the west, or to my country, they change their culture and live by our culture! And there is no honour killing or legal rape in our culture!

And at this point for that last remark I apologize to any moderate Muslims here. Just remember if you come to the US, there are certain places you should not go. It has always been my position on these forums that women, just the same as men, have the ability to rape. Don't go thinking that just because I'm not the person with superior body mass or strength to beat down an opponent means that I couldn't put them in a vulnerable position.

I have some issues with the above. A few quick points.

I think it's important that we don't perpetuate the misconception than an erection translates to consent for sexual activity. One thing you got right without meaning to. Men. Under. Report. It's not because they "really wanted it" or that kind of jazz. It's because there is a social stigma about men reporting certain crimes, especially if the perpetrator is a woman. Legal issues such as stalking, intimate partner abuse, sexual assault and related issues can be very hard for men, 'cause, <cough> you're bigger and stronger, why didn't you just handle it? <cough>
